CHAPTER TWENTY Tom’s mum, Robyn, hung onto her son and scuffed the toe of her sneaker on the floor, while the other parents greeted Ness and Duane. They wore sympathetic faces, made the right noises, but Georgie noticed their lack of eye contact, particularly as they explained why they needed to take their kids home.
