CHAPTER FIFTY-FOUR Hannah Hannah had done a kind of somersault through the window and landed on her back. She lay on the ground for ages, trying to breathe, feeling around to see if she’d done any major damage. Bits of glass were embedded in her skin. She pulled some out but couldn’t do much about the little pieces in deep, mainly in her left cheek and her left hand. Luckily, she’d had the other hand covered with her hoodie sleeve. There was a massive shard in her left thigh just above the knee and her leggings were already wet with blood.
