CHAPTER 5 RETURNING BACK HOME

The vacation was exhilarating, i spent the rest days shopping and hanging out with Mason and friends since kate is a native of country Y, she took us to all the fun places, museum and temple explaining their history and how they are founded.

Today my vacation ended, am going back to country C , Mason repeatedly remind me to text him once i get back to country C.

On getting back i was surprised to see Rosie, Charlotte, Chloe and Larissa at the airport waiting for me. I only told rosie am coming back today.

so i was indeed surprised when i see all of them. we drove back to rosie apartment since am staying with her then the CC's are staying at the school hostel while Larissa stays with her cousin.

It now my five years in the university. the days have been going smoothly and peaceful then the unexpected happens my Dad called. This Will be the first time he his calling since i left home and i know it not for good.

Hello Mr Javeer, is that how you address your father. what am i needed for, i asked.

He remain silent for some time before saying, your grandma is dead coming home for her burial to see her for the last time.

I was shocked by what he said that i don't know when he ends the call and started crying.

my grandma was the only person who showed me a little warmth and when ever she visits she always brings my favorite food and she is always with me throughout her stay since i don't have a grandpa but only her.

I frantically packed some clothes write a note for Rosie and leaves for home. I booked the train has transport home since i can't drive in my state.

On getting home i meant my father in the sitting room which is something new from the time have know him.

He turned back to look at the door way when he heard footsteps.

I asked where is mom. he answered

she is in her room, i run upstairs to check on her, she is more close to Grandma than even her son and i know she will feel her death more.

When i enter into her room she was sitting at the window sill looking out.

when she notices me she smiles a little and point at me to come closer.

Mom how you feeling, i asked

She signed, hesitate a little and said.

My baby why do you come back, you

shouldn't have come back no matter what happens.

then i was confused why she said that.

Do you know the reason why your grandma died, with all what she said she only make me confused more.

My baby don't worry i will fine way to get you out of here.

I know she is mentally sick and it worsen two years ago.

which i don't know the cause why it relapse no one tell me the house keeper just call i day and tell me her illness relapsed.

I look at her with pain in my eyes. I take her from the window and sit her down on the bed hold her two hands look into her eyes and smile and she smiled back patting my head.

After getting her to sleep i leave her room and went to the sitting room where my is still at.

Well you are getting married two months after your grandma burial. I look at him as if he is speaking gibberish.

When did i bring my spouse that am getting married.

He look at me for some time before saying. Your grandpa was best friend with the Amoretti and you are betrothed with his only grandson.

What !! why wasn't i informed of such, And pls who is this mr Amoretti, i asked

He is the madman, when i heard that, i paused look at him shocked then screamed.

wait! what!! you want me to marry that devil incanant, over my dead body will i do such a thing.

I voiced out.

He just sat there for me to let everything out. it not like you have a choice. you are going to marry him and that final and don't think about escaping.

Guards lock her up in her room and make sure she eats daily if she refuses starve her mother.

His words shocked me i never believe he would said that or do that to his wife. it his wife for crime out loud.

I was locked up since then till the day of my grandma burial ceremony.

He agree for me to fulfill my last rite but my movement was been monitored.

Dad moved towards me and whispered

don't mess up or else you won't like the end.

I accept my faith because i don't want anything to happen to my mom

I know Dad can do anything to reach his goal.
