His Mate

954 Words
Blaise: After I transformed I made my way through the dense forest feeling the wind through my thick fur. I can't believe I had finally found my mate. The one I had been wating for, for what seemed like forever. Her scent had been dulled from an unknown source but it was there,  underneath the sweet vanilla perfume that she wore. I could see the pain reflected by her big blue eyes. The dark circles from worrying.  She hadn't had an easy life, and I was also sure that she either knew nothing of her wolf side, or wasn't educated on what it was and what that meant for her. Otherwise she wouldn't be using whatever it was that had masked her scent, and I'm sure made her unable to change. To be a wolf was freeing and beautiful.  The wolf needed to be let out to be freed. The wolf was your protector. I knew I had to take my time with Blythe, I knew her trust was something I would have to earn, but I was willing to do whatever it took.  After my run I transformed back and made my way from the woods onto our farm. I dressed from the clothes stored in the barn and headed to the wolf's den. Our den looked to outsiders just like a normal farm house, but it was built to keep us safe from our rivals, and to let us be who we are without hiding. I entered the back door and my mom was standing in the kitchen cooking as usual. As wolves we stayed hungry due to our metabolism being off the charts. "Well did you meet her?" Mom asked smiling at me. "I did." I couldn't help but smile back. "And!" Mom asked anxious for the details. I sighed and plopped down in the kitchen chair. "She is definitely my mate." "What's the problem then?" Mom asked "She has been hurt! Badly! It was just as we had feared. Just as Elana had said. I dont know what that monster done to her!" I frowned as I hit my fist on the table. "Now Blaise," mom started as she sat next to me at the table, "Elana prepared us for this. She told us that she would most likely be a mess." "How could she leave her like that?" I growled "her down mother didn't protect her, so how will she ever trust me." "With lots of love and patience my boy." My mom smiled. "You are our alpha now Blaise and you must have a mate by the next blood moon" mom reminded me. " I know, I need some rest." I breathed as I stood up from the table.  I gave my mother a hug, went to my room and jumped o to my bed. My father during this early had never been in the plan. Me becoming alpha at 18 hadn't either. Now by tradition I had to find my mate by the blood moon or one of the other clan leaders would take over as aloha, which is something I wouldn't let happen. Elana Blythe's mother had came back to us battered and bruised after her marriage to the human man hadn't lasted. She had told us how he was a monster and how she was forced to leave her pup with him. She had also prepared us for how damaged she would probably be, but I never in a thousand years would have expected her to have been my mate. Gosh she was beautiful.  I smiled as I thought of her long mocha chocolate hair that hid her beautiful hazel eyes. They were so big and innocent. They were also filled in with pain and terror. She had a beautiful smile and delicious full lips, I had wanted to kiss so bad. It took all I had to control my wolf while I was around her. Which is why I freaked out when I realized I had stayed with the moon up. No way could I control my wolf around her u der a full moon.  The next day I jumped from bed and quickly showered. I was excited to spend the day with Blythe. I made my way downstairs and was stopped in my tracks when I seen Elana sitting at the table with my mother. "Not now!" I growled still angry with her. She dropped her head knowing not to challenge her alpha. "I just wanted to make sure she was okay." Elana whispered. "She's as good as can be expected." I told her as I walked by and slammed the door. I was so angry at her for leaving my mate with that monster. How dare she show up at my den. I would have visited her to tell her of Blythe when I was ready. I was fuming.  I turned the shower on full blast, stripped my clothes off and climbed inside. The water was cool and refreshing.  Being a shapeshifter I ran hot all the time, so these cold showers where just what I needed to cool me down. I began thinking of Blythe standing their under the delicious spray. The way her creamy skin had glistened , and how her beautiful eyes had sparkled. That beautiful simple when she would give me a half smile when I had tried to c***k a not so funny joke. The way her beautiful supple breast had peeled out from underneath her neck tank top when she had poured me a drink. I shook my head trying to come back to my senses. My wolf was panting. I teach down and turned the water on ice cold. It was definitely time to cool off.
