Things had gone mostly back to normal.  Blythe had been released from the medical ward and we were finally back in our suite. She was slowly getting back to herself again. I hadn't let her out of my sight since she had woke . I refused to until we found the shooter. Blythe and I were excited about our wedding coming up in just 2 days. I couldn't wait to legally make this beautiful woman mine. We had completed the wolf tradition when I marked her and now we just needed to complete the human tradition. Blythe deserved her dream wedding and that's what she was going to get.

I looked down at her laying g beside me in a deep sleep. I ran my fingers hers over her shoulders were I had marked her and down her arm. Suddenly I was interrupted by a knock on the suite door. I jumped out of bed and pulled on my Jeans.  I opened the door and Case was standing on the other side. "We caught him." He growled. "Elana went back to the locations of the shooting and managed to track his scent trail." Case explained. "Let me get dressed." I growled.  "Take him to the dungeons,  I'll meet you there." I ordered. 

Making my way to the dungeons I could already smell the stranger. The mut who had tried to kill Blythe. My wolf wanted nothing more to rip him apart,  but we needed answers as well. We needed to know why, and if he was working with someone else. 

I stood in front of the cell and studied the person  who shot my mate. It wasn't a man it was a young woman.  She wasn't apart of any of the clans in our pack. She had long wavy red hair and was severely malnourished. I would have sworn from her weak appearance she was human if I didn't smell her wolf. "Who are you?" I roared.  "My name is Anna." She stammered. "Where do you come from?" I asked her. There was something weird about her smell. I had never smelled a wolf like her before. "I dont know sir. I used to have a family, I was just a kid, and then One day I was attacked by an animal, and when I woke up I was in a dungeon, masked people brought me scraps and water everyday, and then My wolf started taking over. Somehow they had changed me, and made me into what they were." She cried. "Changed you!" I roared . This was blasphemy.  To change a human was unheard of and one of our top laws. We were to never harm or change humans. Never. "Did you ever get a look at the people who imprisoned you." I asked her. "No sir, I only know that there was a male and a female from their scent." She stammered. "Would you recognize their scent if you smelled it again?" I asked her. "Yes sir I definitely could!" She quickly answered.  "One last question. Why did you shoot my mate?" I growled.  Her eyes grew wide, "sir I was told that she was a murderer and that if I killed her they would set me free, and give me enough money that I could go away and live my life." She cried. "I didn't know sir, I didn't know!" She begged. 

I stormed out of the dungeon. "I want all the clans gathered. They are ordered to meet here tonight. They are not to be told what for only that it is an order. I have to speak with Blythe!" I grumbled as I made my way upstairs. This complicated things. This woman had been human, and I had swore never to hurt a human, but she had been turned she was an abomination,  and she had shot my mate. I was so confused. I needed to speak with Blythe on the matter. If she was to be the Luna she needed to informed of such things.  SHe was her attacker I would let her decide what her sentence would be. 

"Baby we need to discuss something. " I shook Blythe awake. She groaned and turned over. Her eyes fluttered open and she starrec up at me, "why so serious so early my alpha?" She smiled. "We have found  your attacker." I grumbled. Hearing the news she sat up in bed. "Who is it?" She demanded. "She is not apart of our pack. She was made. Someone attacked a human and made her. Took her from her family and held her prisoner . They told  her  that you were a murderer and that if she killed you they would set her free and give her enough money to start her life over far away from here. Her attackers I fear are apart of our pack." I Informed her. "I didn't even know it was possible to change someone" she said confused. "It is but it is frowned upon. We vow to never hurt humans or turn them. Turning a human breaks everything we stand for, the penalty for turning a human is death." I explained. "How do we find out who turned her?" She asked. "SHe knows their scent. I've ordered everyone to the den tonight so that she may identify those that imprisoned her." I told her. "I dont know what to do with her under the circumstances. She's  a human, but she is also one of us now. SHE attacked you and as the Luna I am leaving her punishment up to you." I informed her. 

She sat their in thought for quiet a while. After she took a shower she came back to the suite. "She thought I was a murderer?" She asked. "Yes my love." I replied. "And your sure she is telling the truth about everything?" She asked. "I'm positive I could hear it in her heartbeat. " I informed her. "I would like to rehabilitate her, Given she shows us she isn't a murderer,  I would like to give her a chance to live not as a captive like I was so long, but to live free." She explained. "We will have someone inform her of the laws, teach her the history, and how to control the wolf." She looked at me as she finished her sentence. I was shocked. How could this woman be so selfless that she wanted to give the woman who wanted to take her life a chance to live his. I grabbed her and held her in my arms. "You are an amazing woman." I told her. "Yes I know." We both laughed..

Blythe dressed and I led her to the dungeon to sentence her prisoner, We were followed by the pack council. "She smells weird" she stated as we approached the cell. "It will fade as the change grows older. " I informed her. Blythe stood in front of the cell and I watched as her jaw hit the floor.  "Anna!" Blythe screamed. She k we her, how could she know her. "Blythe is that you?" Anna asked. "Unlock this cell at once!" Blythe ordered. I nodded for the guard to Obey.  Blythe ran Inside the cell. "Oh Anna, who done this to you?" Blythe cried as the two held one another. "I dont know, but they tricked me into murdering someone Blythe, I have killed an innocent person." Anna cried. "Shhh now. No you havent. You didn't murder anyone, I am fine." Anna pulled back from Blythe with her hand over her mouth,  "It was you?" She screamed. "I shot my best friend?" She cried. Blythe pulled her back into her arms. "It's okay, I'm okay. You didn't know. You were brainwashed." Blythe explained. "Come let's get up and get you to your room." She told the girl. "What are you dojng?" I I trusted. "Blaise I need you to trust me, I will explain later, but for now I need to get her settled. Pkease have the doctor come to her room." Her eyes locked with mine. I trusted her with everything in me but I still didn't want her alone with someone who had just shot her, no matter the situation. 

Blythe was getting ready for the meeting when I walked up behind her. "Care to explain. What went on earlier?" I asked as I placed my hands around her waste and looked at her through the mirror. She let out a breath, "Anna was my only friend growing up.  She was the only person who truly knew me, and cared for me. I left her in NewYork when I came here." She explained. "Someone went through alot of trouble to find d the only person I cared for, make them a wolf, and brainwash them into killing me." She cried. Blythe was exactly right. Whoever done this made sure that they had found d this girl and that she was connected to Blythe. "We'll take care of her?" I whispered in her ear. She smiled at me throught the mirror. She tur ed around and kissed me lightly on the lips. "Thanks for trusting my judgement earlier. I know it was hard, considering the situation." She smiled. "That's what mates do. We trust one another no matter the situation." I informed her. "Now co.e let's get this over with, so that we can enjoy the rest of our lives." I smiled at her and gave her a gentle kiss. I always tried to be sweet and gentle in front of Blythe but when I found the people responsible for this I wasn't sure what I would do to them. 

Case reported to me that all of the clans were gathered downstairs. Blythe and I made our way to the gathering area. I stood upon the steps and looked out at all of them. I brought you all here tonight to get to know your Luna better before she becomes official in 2 days. Please dont smother her as she has been through alot, but make the best of your time with her." I forced a smile. Of course it was a lie, but I needed to distract them while Anna made her way into the room and found d the scent of her captors.  

I nodded to Case to bring Anna in the back. Blythe talked with our pack members, but I couldn't take my eyes from anna as she entered the room. At first she just paced around the room trying to separate the scents from eachother but then She stopped . I watched as she whispered something to Case. Case then whispered something to the Pack Leaders. I watched as the pack leaders took Adrian and Trace into custody.
