You look lovely

"I'm sending you away with Warren." 'Eli is sending me away?' I wanted to flip out and demand the reason why he is sending me, his wife away. Is to be with other people or this is finally his time to put me away, but I remained calm with a bright smile."Where are you sending me? I hope it's somewhere nice...like Hawaii." "What? No! Are you crazy! Why will I send you and your bodyguard to Hawaii? Please for God's sake, Ashely, your life is in danger!" I scoffed. "please. You're just using this as an excuse to finally get rid of me!" From the corner of my eye, I see Warren discretely leave the room, closing the door behind him. "There you go with the dramatics again." "Dramatics? You're the one who's being ridiculous right now. What about increasing the security? What about using the security footage around the building to track down the shooter? He rolls his eyes and starts typing on his phone. "Why don't you leave the investigation to the men? I'm handling this, and it'll be over before you know it. But you're not staying here, and that's final. End of discussion." "Just admit it, Eli. You want me gone because you want to screw your assistant! And if I'm out of the way, well, there's nothing to stop you, is there?" "Don't be ridiculous, Hotels exist for a reason." "See! You didn't even try to deny it!" He smirks but still said nothing. "Eli, please don't do this to me." "It's already done. I've just confirmed it with my security team on my phone." My shoulders slump forward with defeat. "Can't you at least tell me where you're shipping me to?" "With a mouth like yours, there ain't many secrets I can trust you with. Warren and I will be the only one to know your location. You will have no contact with anyone besides your bodyguard while you are there." "I can't even tell Hannah or my family, but..." "I expect you to be packed and ready to go first thing tomorrow morning." One look at his face tells me everything. He's not going to change his mind. ......Next morning.... As I pack up the last of my things, I can't help but glance once more at the room I'm leaving. 'i have no idea how long I'll be gone. it could be days or even weeks. At least I won't be completely alone wherever I'm going.' I glimpse the bulky shadow behind the glass door, and I blush. 'After Warren saved my life last night, I can't help but feel thankful to have him tagging along. And Warren Garcia isn't isn't just a capable bodyguard but also incredible....nice. He kept checking on me and taking care of me even when i was completely fine. When I spoke, he watched me with full and undivided attention...like he actually heard what I was saying and wanted to know more.' I try to get Warren out of my mind without much success and starts thinking about what to wear. 'i don't want to look boring and bland. I want to look desirable...and I want to get a reaction out of him.' A knock suddenly sounds on my door. "Come in." "Mrs. Nelson, are you ready to...." He clears his throat as his eyes travel down the length of my body. 'He likes it.' "Are you ready to leave?" He avoids eye contact with me. "Not quite. For some reason, I'm having a difficult time choosing an outfit. Eli won't tell me where we're going, so I have no idea if this is appropriate attire." He stays silent with his eyes on the ground. I take a step closer and do a small twirl. "What do you think of it Mr. Garcia?" "It's..." He clears his throat again. "Appropriate." "Oh, come on, you can do better than that." His eyes finally met mine, and the look he's giving me makes my heart skip a beat. "You look....lovely, Mrs. Nelson." For some reason I want to tease me more. "Lovely?" He gives me a curt nod. "I suppose that's better than appropriate." He coughs out a large laugh before turning around to face the door. "I'll bring your suitcase downstairs for you." "Thank you." I said and he nods without turning. "Oh, and Warren?" "Yes?" "You look... appropriate too." "Glad you approve, Ma'am." ............ After ten hours of car ride and hiking, we arrived at a small cabin surrounded by trees. "This...this is where we're staying?" "Yes!" "It doesn't look very safe. I don't see any security cameras, though maybe we're just well hidden." "I assure you that it's safe." He said with a confident smile. "So, you and I are going to be all alone here the entire time?" "Yes. Mr. Nelson didn't want to risk the possibility that this threat was an inside job." 'Alone in a secluded cabin, completely cut off from the outside world. is it strange that I find this situation... romantic?' "It would probably be for the best if we go in. After you, Mrs. Nelson."
