To my lovely readers, I've been writing 2000+ word count in my chapters but I've been unable to post it so here's the end of the last chapter. Enjoy loves..... To be continued........ The man walked in brave , confident like the stunts he pulled hours ago, Clean jeans, plain black tee, that same steady face. He didn’t try to blend in. He didn’t even look around. Just walked straight to the bar like he owned the joint. Mario didn’t move. He took a slow drag and let the smoke hang in the air. A voice came beside him—low and meant for his ears only. “He’s here.” Rick. “Already saw him,” Mario said without looking. “Walked in like this is his birthday.” Rick stepped closer. “We got a problem.” Mario finally turned. “Talk.” Rick didn’t say anything at first. Just nodded toward the hallway behind the DJ booth. “Not here.” They walked slowly, blending with the crowd, moving past dancers, drunk girls, rich boys spilling liquor like water. Mario didn’t say a word. He moved like a man who already knew something was about to drop heavy. They reached the back corridor—dimmer lights, quieter air. Rick pulled the back door open and they stepped into the cold night behind the club, where the music turned to a distant thud and the only sound was the humm of the generator far off Rick leaned against the wall. “Fernando got picked up.” Mario didn’t react. He just looked at Rick with a blank face. “Picked up?” he repeated. “Yeah,” Rick said. “About an hour ago. At the docks. Jimmy made the move himself.” Mario looked away, jaw tight. “sirens,” Rick added. “a truck, and other feds with guns, Clean. Fernando, Patrick, Ross , just dem boys.” Mario chuckled dryly. “This motherfucker…” Rick shrugged. “Jimmy’s been watching. Waiting. Tonight, he played it smart.” “Who was with him?” “No one noticeable yet but majorly those Federals in blue” Mario muttered something under his breath, then wiped his palm over his face. “Fernando say anything?” he asked. “Not yet,” Rick said. “But you know him. He’s loyal until it gets too real. Cops start dangling deals, and he might fold.” Mario was quiet. His eyes scanned the empty alley like he was searching for answers written on the bricks. “He knows too much,” he finally said. “Not about you,” Rick replied quickly. “He’s never seen your face in a meet, never talked to you directly.” “But he knows routes,” Mario cut in. “He knows product weights, drop days, times. That’s enough to cause damage.” Rick nodded. “If they flip him,” Mario continued, “he could take half the transport team with him. Then the books get checked. Then they come here.” Rick crossed his arms. “You want me to make sure he doesn’t talk?” Mario didn’t answer right away. He just stared at the ground, thinking. “Not yet,” he finally said. “We don’t even know where they’re keeping him.” “I can find out,” Rick said. “Do it,” Mario replied. “Quiet. I want eyes on Jimmy too. If he brings the press into this, it’s war.” Rick tapped his ring on the wall. “You think Jimmy’s doing this for the badge?” Mario scoffed. “Nah. This is personal. He’s digging. He’s looking for something—or someone. Maybe he thinks Fernando’s the key, he’s seeking evidence, he hasn’t gotten over the election score yet” Rick smirked. “We don’t need Fernando no more Diablo.” Rick cracked his knuckles. “Give the word “ he requested “Not tonight,” Mario said. And Rick turned his head away from him in disappointment. He’s always been Mario’s right hand man,but he lets him make the decisions while he exécutés it. They’ve been on this game together for years, since Mario first kill. Sometimes he looses his patience, nothing should hinder a plan. “Let him think we’re not bothered. But we’re watching. Every move.” Rick nodded. “And Fernando?” Mario took one last puff of his blunt and crushed it against the brick wall. “Let’s give him a week, see how loyal he is to the game, if we kill him now, it’ll only bring the heat to us”. “I hope we are not making a mistake diablo “ “ I never make one “.
