Dimitri had been a no-show all morning. I even tried visiting him in his quarters but the guards stationed in front of his chambers refused anybody from entering. Even Milana of all people.
I figured he was recovering. So I let him be. After all, the healer was still walking through the castle with her head held high, which meant she must have succeeded. Not that I doubted her abilities. After the immunity her healing had given Hector when I reinfected him, I conceded to the fact that she was born gifted.
