Chapter 2

Derek was rushing into the elevator when someone bumped into him and spilled tea on him

"gosh,are u blind or something?"derek asked angrily

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to spill the tea on u, I was in a hurry that's y"alicia replied

"u can't tell me sorry after staining my clothes,do u know how much they worth?"derek asked again

"see mister I was trying to be nice but decided to lash out at me,u were the one who bumped into me at first and now u re trying to claim rights here,ur clothes doesn't look costly sef just tell me how much and I'll buy them for u"alicia replied

"u know what, it's fine go away with ur troublesome self, I don't want to be late for my interview"derek said before going into the elevator while alicia took the stairs.

"Sir what took you so long, it's almost time for the interview with the new employees"mark asked

"I bumped into someone on my way here who spilled tea on me so I had to go clean it before coming here"derek replied

"okay sir, here's ur coffee it's almost time for the interview"mark said while handing derek the coffee and moving to adjust his collar.

Few minutes later derek started the interview

"mark go and bring in the new employees"derek said while mark nodded his head and left the office.

Soon mark entered with the first employee and left, immediately alicia raised her head to greet her boss

"good morning sir,wait what u again? what re u doing here?"alicia asked puzzled

"well well well,we meet again, welcome my new employee"derek said with an evil smirk.

"mark!!!", derek called and he immediately answered,"tell all the people that came for the interview that the job has been taken"mark nodded with a surprised face.

"Now back to u, what's ur name?"derek asked with a stern face

"I'm alicia sir"alicia replied while stammering

"good,u spilled tea on my expensive dress and also destroyed my 1million naira watch in the process and u will have to pay for them like u said"derek told alicia

"please sir, I'm an orphan and this job is my last hope because I need to pay my rent within one month"alicia told him while crying

"it's fine u will get the job but ur salary will be deducted every month to pay for my dress and the watch"derek said while smiling

"I'm ok with that sir, whatever you say"alicia replied happily

Derek snapped his fingers and a file was brought before them by mark and derek asked her to sign in the empty spaces,she was surprised by how quick the file was made but signed it anyway.Derek told alicia to resume the next day very early in the morning.
