The black Bentley drove into the compound. When it stopped in the middle of the large compound, some maids and butlers came out and began to take everything out of the car trunk and some of the bags in the car.
"Take them all to Miss Mandy's room" Craig ordered.
"Yes sir" they all chorused and began to take all that was bought upstairs.
"Thanks" Mandy said after both she and Craig got out of the car.
"For what?" Craig asked.
"For everything. The clothes, shoes, makeup and makeover" Mandy said shyly. Craig smiled.
"Go get ready for dinner, we'll be having with my mom" Craig said. Then he signaled to the chauffeur and he wheeled him off. Mandy stood there a bit watching Craig.
"He can be nice sometimes though" Mandy thought to herself before she decided to go in.
"Miss Mandy, dinner is ready. Please do come to the rooftop" a maid announced.
"Alright, I'll be there shortly" Mandy responded and the maid left. Mandy shut the door behind her and slowly made her way to the rooftop. When she got there, Craig and his mother were already present but they hadn't started digging in yet. Immediately Maria set her eyes on Mandy, she smiled.
"Over here" she said, waving her arms in the air. Craig who was just seating in front of her turned to take a look on who was approaching.
"Oh you're here" he said and turned to his formal position again. Mandy walked over to the table and took the position in between mother and son.
"Well I'm glad we are now complete. Before we eat, let's talk about how things are going to be from now on and also, to elaborate on your roles, do's and don'ts as Craig's mistress" Maria stated. Mandy simply looked at Maria nodded.
"You'll have to learn how to act like high society. You'll need to learn some ethics and conducts. I got you a new cellphone. But don't try anything funny with it" Maria said.
"We'll be tracking it" Craig added.
"And your movements will be limited. Unless it's important, you wouldn't be allowed to go out" Maria continued. "You don't need to worry about doing duties anymore, you're now Craig's mistress for the time being".
"Alright I got that" Mandy answered nonchalantly.
"About the ethics thing, uhmmm I guess we have to get someone to handle it soonest. Your first public appearance should be in about a week time. Craig and I have covered everything concerning your background, you don't need to bother much about that part" Maria continued.
"Well about that ethics part, I'm on it. I've already arranged everything, so you don't need to worry" Craig stated. Maria smiled at her son immediately he mentioned he had gotten the ethics handled.
"Alright, that settles it then. So is there anything you would love to add or talk about?" Maria asked Mandy who on the other hand, didn't pay much attention to all their arrangements.
"No ma'am, I'm good" Mandy asked. Craig looked at Mandy, he could tell she was absent minded throughout the whole discussion, going along with everything that was being said without any questioning. He dismissed it however, he wasn't ready for all the drama that would come from asking her about it and his mother would begin to ask her own questions, making the dinner generally uncomfortable.
"Let's eat then. We had a long day today and we'll have a long day tomorrow" Craig said.
"Well that's right, let's start digging in" Maria said. With that, they began to eat their dinner. Maria and Craig were chit chatting about anything possible while Mandy ate her dinner in silence. She didn't care too much as she was enjoying all the fancy food and juice on the table as much as she wanted.
"Uhmmm, you said you'll be busy tomorrow. If I may ask, what will you be doing tomorrow?" Maria asked her son.
"Well, I'll be going through the present transportation business statistics, I need to know what's going on and strategize if I am willing to make a successful comeback" Craig stated. Maria smiled, her smile showed contentment and happiness in it.
"I'm so happy Craig. I'm so happy you've decided to rise up again despite everything. I never thought this would come this quick" Maria said, her eyes beaming with motherly joy. Craig smiled and held her hand.
"Let's start working first. I can't jubilate just yet" Craig said and immediately, he let go of his mother's hand and shoved a piece of chicken into his mouth.
"I'm done with my meal ma'am and Mr Craig. I'll love to retire for the night" Mandy said, as she wiped her mouth with a napkin.
"Wow, you are one heck of a fast eater. Alright then, do have a good night" Maria said. Mandy bowed and left both Craig and Maria at the rooftop.
