Mandy once again knocked at Craig's room in the morning, a tray in her hand as usual. When she was sure of the response she got, she opened the door and proceeded to walk in. She placed the tray in front of Craig, who religiously began to dig in. Just then, Mandy cleared her throat.
"Any problem?" Craig asked as he took a bite.
"Well I need to do some clean up here after you are done with breakfast. I felt you needed to know about it, I'm so sorry I couldn't say it yesterday, I wasn't thinking properly" Mandy answered calmly. Craig didn't say any word, rather he just continued to eat. Mandy sat at the corner and watched him. Initially, she expected the breakfast to be a short and swift one but to her surprise, Craig finished his breakfast. Mandy couldn't believe her eyes, supprise and fear griped her immediately.
"Why do you look so surprised? Haven't seen someone finish their breakfast?" Craig asked as he wiped his mouth with a serviette.
"Uhmm, it's nothing really. I'm just surprised you finished your breakfast" Mandy answered, a suprised look still evident on her face. Craig smiled.
"Well, I guess I became hungry today" Craig said quite cheerfully. Mandy let out a little smile and stood up to pick the tray from the beautiful wooden table, but Craig stopped her. He held her wrist just as she was about to lift the tray from the table. Mandy turned her face in curiosity and surprise at him as she stood frozen at the spot. Her met Craig's bright blue eyes, she felt like time had just stopped, she didn't understand why she was feeling the way she felt but she didn't like it at all.
"Mandy, will you be free by 10am?" Craig asked, his voice as enchanting as the summer breeze. Mandy's heart began to beat faster than ever, but still she managed to maintain her composure.
"Possibly, I should" Mandy answered, "is there anything you would love me to do for you sir" she asked.
"I wanted to talk to you a bit, probably ask you some questions" Craig answered casually. Mandy sighed when she heard the answer.
"I'll see to it Sir, although I can't guarantee anything" Mandy answered.
"Alright then, you may leave" Craig said. Mandy bowed slightly, after which she picked up the tray and headed out of the room. Craig watched her up until she left. Day after day, he found Mandy interesting. The little things she did swayed his heart in many directions. She was just different, an interesting person and personality, a daring soul. For strange reasons, he was curious about her and her life before she began to work there.
