《Avery's POV》
I stood underneath the shower and let the warm water cascade down my body. It was refreshing amd soothing. It also helped in hiding the fact that I didn't have enough sleep last night.
It wasn't because of a nightmare or because I couldn't fall asleep due to the fear of someone watching me or trying to break into my apartment like before.
This time, I couldn't sleep early because I was working till the early hours of today. I haven't been at the company for a while so I had to finish off with the things that needed my attention.
I only slept for three hours before I was disturbed by my alarm. After the bath, I cleaned off the water vapor from the mirror and stared at my reflection.
