The Apartment

That evening, she went to Matthew's office to give him her latest article about a bar which was one of the worst.

She tried not to write too sour things about it like she has to wait for almost half an hour to get her drink the cost should be low and not to mention the drink wasn't good enough.

But besides that, everything was good like the décor was rustic style which was looking good and bartenders were friendly.

After entering his office her phone started ringing.

And that was when she found that she was staring into his ocean blue eyes non-shamelessly.

She felt her cheeks going a deep shade of red. She excused herself out of the office.

She was paying attention that Matthew can hear her whole conversation from there.

She saw the number. It was from Maxwell, her other best friend, whom she met in collage just like she met Olivia in collage. He was from Australia. He is working in the next building from my workplace.

She answered the call.

He said, “Ari, Olivia called me today and told that you were late today morning. So what happened today?”

She said, “Max……Well I was in a traffic and you know how far my apartment is from the office.”

“Yeah I know that why I am going to tell you to take a new apartment and you can also ask your co-workers. And I have heard that Matthew Adams is now your new editor. Why don’t you ask him to show you his place?”

I rolled my eyes, completely ignoring the last line, I was annoyed every time this topic arise.
