Chapter 2-To Give Into Sadism. Life has forever been good to me, I was forever untouched with worry until he entered in my life making me want to face every puddle of dirt, just so I could ruin him. "It's not connecting..." Hera sighed as she looked at her cousin in worry from the mirror. "I've tried everything, his every number that I could remember and even sent him a mail to contact me..but there's no response yet." Buttoning up her shirt's sleeves, her shirt was a mix between modest and tight in it's size, she sighed. It wasn't surprising though, after what happened between them, she'd be surprised if he wanted to even see her face. Joe stood up from the bed, sighing himself, his fingers rubbing his forehead in obvious tension. "But we need to arrange the money, somehow Hera. And..." Straightening up her skirt and making sure everything was clean and neat, she placed the glasses above her nose which she didn't really need, turning away from the mirror to face him. "And..?" She pressed as she heard him say, "Bill is returning in a week, we'll have to look somewhere else for you to stay." Gulping away the helplessness she felt, she nodded, picking up the bag laid beside him and inside which remained the card that'd take her to his company. Stein Enterprises, headquarters. Passing his cousin a hug, he kissed her above her head wishing her luck. "I didn't think one could actually hit off the nerdy look, may be you should retain this look even after..." His mood turned sombre as he continued. Despite it, Hera laughed. "And you can f**k off. May be I'll turn you into a nerd." She grinned as he played along, his eyes turning wide. "You wouldn't..." He muttered, actually looking scared. He knew if she determined to do so, then he was definitely done. For one, the whole family was at her fingertips, loved so much they literally danced at her single command and her stubbornness could reach the skies if scaled in numbers. "We'll see!" She laughed and a moment later, he followed her action grinning himself as tears pricked their eyes. They definitely missed those times and they were definitely going to have it all back. "I've gotta go, Joe. I want to know what's going on in the hospital once I return." Joe nodded before replying her. "Yes, I will. And don't worry. We'll arrange something both for you to stay and for Uncle's recovery." Moving her head in agreement, she left the place bidding him farewell. Cursing a thousands words on her way, she stepped out of her taxi and into the huge building of his company. A week had passed since their last meet, she hesitated to walk further for a moment, recalling the way he had stated at her, there was definitely something eerie about him she realised, it was more than of a man spoilt rich, it was as if he wanted to hurt and also indulge in pleasure. She shook her head, she was simply nervous, she convinced herself before venturing inside. She had deliberately pushed the meeting, all the while, cooped inside her cousin's friend's house, strategizing her plan, simply waiting for Joe's return from the hospital. At times, she'd feel the urge to just not care and run to her father's aid but Joe would explain to her that it'd ruin it all. Other times, she'd try and contact him and any friends of hers but  as fate would have it, the rich snob friends of hers gave up on her, but she wasn't surprised, nor was she dumb enough to expect otherwise. And the few friends she actually trusted wasn't well off enough to be able to help her. Her determined footsteps changed into that of the soft ones. Her hard lines on the face turned gentle, a smile took over her frown as she walked towards the reception area. "How may I help you?" She didn't seem like she wanted to help at all, as the blond woman's eyes travelled up and down her figure, taking in her curly red locks pulled up in a ponytail and square shaped glasses on her nose with little or no make up covering her face and wide smile plastered on her lips. "I'm here to meet, Mr. Carter Stein." Hera replied as she saw the woman furrow her brows at her, mock disgust taking over her features, a slight scrunch on her nose. "Do you have an appointment?" The blonde inquired making her roll her eyes as she spoke further. "You cannot meet him, otherwise." Smiling in fakeness, Hera leaned at the receptionist's desk, her head tilted slightly to the right as she stared challengingly at the woman. Just because she had to seem nice to Carter, did not mean she had to be nice to others, she had to fool him and she did not care of others actually thought if she was a bitch..because well she was and she wore it with pride. "Darling? Why don't you give Mr. Carter Stein a call and tell him, Ms. Penelope is here to meet him?" She winked making the woman wince slightly, feeling intimidated by the nerd. The next two minutes, she went on with the phone as she spoke in her sickly sweet voice before passing an apology to Hera for the inconvenience, her tone turning polite. Hera nodded as she stepped away from the desk before turning back to the woman. "Oh and love, do remember my name, yeah? You're going to hear it often." With that she turned around, leaving the floor to the fiftieth floor where the devil resided. ~~ "You must be Miss. Penelope Smith." Nodding her head at the man that almost looked down at her in pity, he made her follow him. Knocking on his door, they heard a firm 'come in' from the inside as Colin pushed the glass door open for her to enter before closing it behind her and walking away, leaving her alone with Stein. Travelling her eyes around the plush room of the cabin marked with the typical office environment, with a couch  on her right and another on her left, creamy walls surrounded the cabin with a view of the city behind Carter's desk. There was a time, her father had all of it, a office, a cabin of his own and the view of the city and it was going to be inherited by her. Trying not to show the displeasure she felt, her eyes fell on the man she intended to destroy, not failing to notice that all the while he had his eyes solely trained on her, reading her but she was determined to not see her rage. Smiling in relief at him she neared his desk as he smiled back, observing her appearance like she was observed his. The ever present stubble on his strong jaw and piercing eyes, too smart for his own good, high cheekbones, the typical description of a handsome man. But it's takes more than just a handsome face to be a man. She sneered in her mind. "I've been waiting to hear from you." He announced, gesturing her to take a seat across from him, although he'd much prefer she sat on his lap. With the skirt hugging her legs and a shirt accentuating her figure, her body that he wanted to hold and even the glasses on her eyes and her nerdy style couldn't fool him in anyway. He had seen her in her full beauty to just be fooled by it. Since the day she walked out of his house in his shirt, she hadn't left his mind, she corrupted him like no other woman ever had. Not just her beauty but the innocence with which she decided to trust him, he wanted to destroy it, that innocence, the purity she emmited out of her stance. He wanted see her scream in pleasure and in pain while he'd enjoy it. Even drowning himself in drinks and smoke could not break him out of her thoughts. His parents had noticed it on his recent lunch with them. On inquiry, he said, it's just his interest in the new girl, he had forever been honest with them. But not so much this time, it wasn't just an interest, she was becoming an obsession bringing out in him the monster he had tried to tame. His parents were well aware of his plays with the women and with other's properties but had cared not much. Being their only son, he was spoilt rotten to have everything at his whims. Drugs, kidnap, murder say anything you may. He knew how to put the matters to grave and while the businessmen stayed away from him to not be on his bad side, the media worshipped the ground he walked on, a star in the eyes of the crowd, nothing that money could not buy. "I'm sorry, Mr. Stein. But I've been busy with finding my lost things from..." She hesitated, he didn't miss the way her lips quivered before continuing. "That night. I've reported to the police." Her smile returned. "I needed them for this interview." "So did they find him?" He asked with every bit of concern dripping in his voice. Slowly, she shook her head in a no. "B..But I need a job. I couldn't just keep borrowing things from my friend." She added. His hand found hers on the table, as he tightened it lightly in assurance, enjoying it's softness beneath his rough palm. "I'm sure they'll catch him." He delivered sympathetically. If he wanted, he could get that man in a day, whoever he was that tried to force himself upon her. But he wouldn't. Why? Because he just did not care. Nodding her head, she tried not to squirm under his intrusive gaze as he took in every part of her body nor the way his eyes travelled to her exposed neck. Fighting the urge to pull her hand away, she chose to act oblivious as she spoke. "I don't have any certificates with me but I'd be glad if you could interview me without them and I'll take any job!" She begged. "Please, I'm desperate." Smirking secretly, he nodded as he interviewed her of few questions to which she replied with all made up answers. "Okay then, you'll be my personal assistant." Yes! She smirked. Showing immense happiness she bobbed her head up and down making him laugh as he stared at her intensely. "But you need to know your duties as my personal assistant. You'll do everything I tell you!" "Done!" She replied instantly, although she knew exactly what he meant by it, she chose to play dumb. Shaking his head at her gullible nature, he stood up from his seat, straightening his clothes as he walked around the table and towards where she sat, turning her seat towards him as he leaned down, placing his hand at the back of her seat. She gulped. "Wh..What are you doing, sir?" His other hand reached the side of her face. His chest tightened at her scared look, he enjoyed and the feeling in his chest increased until he acted upon it. "You'll do everything I say, Ms. Smith. Do you get it?" He whispered, his lips nearing hers as he took in her scent, hardly able to control himself from taking her on his desk, holding her chin in her grip he put enough pressure to make her flinch. His heart sped up at the joy he felt, his fingers clutched her joy in an unforgiving hold making her cry out. Snapping out of his daze, he instantly left his hold, realising his mistake. He had lost control. "I..I'm sorry." He let out, his eyes taking in her figure, her eyes brimming with slight tears while her chin and lower cheeks seemed red with his pressure. "It was an accident." He cursed himself. At times, his sadistic tendencies made themselves known but after a year of treatment, he was able to control his true urges but after meeting her all his issues were coming out. "I..I." She stopped herself, what happened was a shock to her. Her chin throbbed with his force, she was right in guessing, his issue lied in more than just being a spoilt brat. "Look, I'm sorry, okay?" He neared her, a look of craziness taking over his eyes. He stopped only once she took a step back in fear. Her tough exterior cracked in it's edges making her rethink about her decision. Noticing her move, he held his hands up as a sign of surrender. "You're not having second choices are you?" He spoke in hesitance, his voice scared as if his new toy was being snatched away from him. And nobody takes away his plaything! "I..I need to think." That having said, she turned away from him, instantly marching away from him, all the while feeling his gaze pinned on her. Holding in her fear until she was inside the house, she let out a cry. It wasn't that she was scared of what happened but the look in his eyes, she was well aware of it. But isn't that what she wanted? She nodded to herself as she sat on the couch, holding her head. She wanted him to fall for her didn't she, trust her fully. Then why was she running away. No, this will not do, she told herself as she threw the specs on the bed behind her, starting herself in the mirror, if she cowers away from him then she'll never be able to avenge her mother, not her father on his deathbed. Her eyes took in the bruise on her chin and the fingerprints on her jaw and what scared her the most was the pure pleasure she witnessed on his face. She wanted to break him, she knew, she needed to but what if he broke her first..? Should she have listened to her cousin? She knew he only supported her, because he empathised her. His family and mine are ruined all because of Carter Stein. Tears brimmed in her eyes, she couldn't give up now, no. The image of her dead mother, her father... Staring one last time at herself in the mirror, she touched the bruises on her skin. She was going to make him pay for it all..to make each tear count, of her, her mother, her father and for every thing he stole from them. ~~ The urge to pull her back was intense as he watched her run away. What if she doesn't return? His heartbeat sped up at the thought as he ran behind her as she walked out of her view. He needed to have her back. He needed to stay away. He remembered the last time, he lost control over a woman, it did not end well. Her in a grave and he in Australia for a holiday. That was when he was convinced by his mother to take the treatment. And he did, he was told to have a sadistic personality disorder and it seemed true since he often 'accidently' caused pain to people but he always hid it well. But only a second meeting with this beautiful and naive woman and he had shown his sadistic side. She wasn't good for his control. "f**k it!" He muttered, as he followed behind the taxi she was in. A twenty minutes drive later, the taxi pulled over before a moderate looking one story house as she stepped out of the taxi, paying the driver some money and marched inside the house. All of it he watched from a distance as he made his decision. He was going to have her at his whims, either by hook or crook and this time he wasn't going to hold himself back. ~~ "Your drink..!" A sultry voice drifted his ears, making him jerk his head up, his eyes falling on his maid of interest. Gesturing her to sit on his lap, he watched as she complied without a protest, placing the drink before him on the office desk of his house. Her hands found his locks as she sighed at the kisses he delivered to her neck, his hand wound around her waist while his other hand held her hair in a fist. Pulling away from her neck, his eyes widened, brown locks now seemed a vibrant red, dull brown eyes seemed blue. It was her in his maids uniform. Bending down, his lips found hers, recalling the taste of them, soft and the taste of rosy hue as he gulped in her scent, they were compliant and still, under his control, just like they where when he kissed her in his car. Until she moaned, he didn't feel the softness anymore, the taste of her lips like cheap bubblegum and cheap perfume covered her body making him roughly pull away from her. It was his maid. Growling in frustration, he pushed her away making her fall on the floor. "Get the f**k out of here! And don't barge in whithout my permission!" Scared, she picked herself up before scrambling away and out of the door. Chucking the glass of wine on the wall, he growled. The woman was messing with his already messed up head as he caught his head in his hands, pulling at the locks to feel the pain, trying to numb himself from the urge to possess her. But he had to plan his act. He couldn't let what happened the last time, repeat itself. He couldn't do anything until she came back to the company and accepted his job. He was going to wait, he hoped she wouldn't take too long otherwise he'd have no other choice but to snatch her away. Three days..three f*****g days and there was no news from her. Staring at his laptop on his table, he tried to focus on it, his mind kept drifting towards her every other second. His eyes took in the clock like they did from the past three days, five minutes for nine. The clock struck nine as he sighed, she wasn't going to come he decided just as Colin opened the glassed door of his cabin before announcing. "Sir..Ms. Penelope has arrived." Play nice... He chanted to himself as a smile crept his lips. "Send her in." With nod, he pushed the door wide open as the woman with red locks pushed past him and inside his cabin. Play nice... He groaned as he gritted his teeth in force. The striking pair of blue eyes met his, a smile covering her face as she greeted, "Good morning, sir. I'll be joining as your assistant from today." And the sadistic feeling returned. Oh how he was going to torture her and play. "Welcome to the company, Penny..." *********
