Chapter 11: Couple in the Series Part 5

1479 Words
"Look, isn't this place beautiful? Do you want to see it from outside? It's quiet here," Senior Sion said, his usual gentle voice making me turn around and take in the beautiful view in front of the car. "It's beautiful, I love it," I said, mesmerized by the view before me, forgetting my previous feelings of wanting to go home. "I knew you liked it. Come on out, Ray," Senior Sion said, making me smile. Every time I hear Senior Sion call me Ray , a name that only he uses. It makes me feel that I am special in his eyes, although I still doubt the possibility. Senior Sion usually just calls me by full first name, but on occasion, he'll call me Ray. Even a while ago, Senior Sion called me luv, which really surprised me. But I later concluded that his calling me luv was just a fan service because I saw a staff member filming us together. Senior Sion got out of the car with the food and drinks he'd bought earlier. I followed him and walked over to him, staring at the side of his handsome face. A man like Senior Sion was clearly 100% straight, so I shouldn't have any second thoughts about him and I must assume that all the kindness Senior Sion had shown me was because he was a good person and considered me a friend or his junior. I had to be more careful and guard my heart against getting too deeply into the agency's image. "Sit here, it's okay to get a little dirty, right?" Senior Sion said. I sat on the sidewalk. I nodded and sat next to Senior Sion. Senior Sion offered me some food, "Eat up! I bought a variety of desserts too." I accepted it and opened the takeout box. Inside were pudding and various cakes, all of which were undoubtedly sweet. I took one cake and placed the box between Senior Sion and me. I said, "Thank you, Senior. I really like it." "Thank goodness, if you like it, here's the iced latte too," said Senior Sion, bringing the iced latte closer to me. "Hmm, yes. Thank you," I thanked him again. Senior Sion turned to me with a smile and said, "Yes, you're welcome." I stared at the view before me, forgetting our original purpose for coming here. Senior Sion, his soft voice, said something I hadn't quite heard. So I turned to him and asked, "Huh? What did you just say? Sorry, I was too focused on the view in front of me." Senior Sion just smiled and said softly, "No, I'm just happy you like this place too." "Oh, yes, I like this place. Thank you, Senior, for inviting me here," I said with a smile and took a sip of my drink. We spent some time talking about various things, from our jobs to vintage items we both enjoy. Then, suddenly, I remembered what happened earlier and immediately asked Senior Sion, "Senior Sion, I almost forgot to ask about what happened this afternoon. Why wasn't Senior Sion focused during the workshop? Was something bothering you, Senior?" Senior Sion moved his body closer to mine, drawing us closer until our thighs were touching. I was startled when Senior Sion suddenly let out a loud sigh. I stared at Senior Sion, waiting for him to start talking, but I didn't want to force him to talk if what he was thinking was something he didn't want to share with me. Since Senior Sion hadn't spoken and was instead sipping his coffee, I assumed he didn't want to talk or was still hesitant to tell me. "If Senior Sion doesn't want to tell me, that's fine too," I said, then went back to chewing on the donut I was holding. "No, can I have a cigarette?" Senior Sion replied suddenly, pulling a pack of cigarettes from his pocket. I just stared at him as he lit his cigarette. I didn't know if Senior Sion smoked, as he didn't seem to be a smoker, but I'm not a smoker either, but I do occasionally smoke. Perhaps Senior Sion, like me, only occasionally smokes. The smoke from his cigarette drifted into the chilly air. For some reason, watching Senior Sion exhale made me feel warm, or rather hot. Senior Sion looked incredibly attractive and sexy. He's usually charming and handsome, but this time, his smoking vibe made him seem different, and I felt transfixed by the Senior Sion standing in front of me. "I've been fighting with my girlfriend since yesterday, and I think our relationship will be difficult to continue, but I don't know," Senior Sion said quietly, suddenly making me turn around, my heart skipping a beat. "So Senior Sion has a girlfriend, but that's for sure. A man as handsome and kind as Senior Sion is impossible not to have one. What could possibly make them fight? I can't even imagine Senior Sion being angry," I thought to myself upon hearing Senior Sion's words. I felt something tugging at my heart, but I could only brush it off as a passing thought. "Hmm, why would Senior Sion think that? Is the problem so serious that Senior Sion thinks your relationship will be difficult to continue?" I replied, trying not to be too nosy or intrusive. Senior Sion stared at me for a moment, then smiled slightly. "Yeah, my girlfriend doesn't like it when I play BL series like this, so we've been fighting constantly lately. It wasn't a big deal before because she was in Australia, but yesterday she came back, and when we met, we had an even bigger fight. I think I was wrong, but I tried to explain it to her, but she still wouldn't listen, so that's how it is." I listened to every word Senior Sion said, feeling confused about how to respond because, frankly, I'd never been in a relationship before. For some reason, it's really hard for me to be in a relationship with someone. I feel like if I'm not truly in love with someone, then I don't want to try to be in a relationship with them. Many people have expressed their love to me over the years, both men and women, but none of them have made me want to be with them. That's why I haven't dated until I'm 26. But I don't feel burdened at all because I enjoy being alone. "Can't Senior Sion try to talk things out amicably? Maybe Senior Sion's girlfriend needs time to accept it?" I replied, looking at Senior Sion, who blew another puff of smoke into the air. "Hmm, maybe we'll talk again when we're both calmer and able to think clearly," said Senior Sion, stubbing out his cigarette, which he had only just finished smoking. "But I'm truly sorry. I had some personal issues that distracted me, and it affected you," said Senior Sion, putting his cigarette back in his pocket. "It's okay. It's not a problem at all, don't worry about it," I said, smiling and turning back to the scene before me. "It's getting late. Do you want to have dinner together?" asked Senior Sion, who I hadn't realized I'd been ignoring, and now he was staring at me. I was always amazed by his gaze, which seemed so gentle every time I saw him looking at me. Although his gaze would change slightly afterward, it always returned to its usual state. But every time I saw that gentle gaze, it made me feel so happy and as if I was truly appreciated. "Hmm, I think I'm full enough. Maybe we can go out to dinner together another time," I said, declining Senior Sion's invitation to dinner, claiming I was full, even though I really just wanted to go home and calm my troubled mind. "Hmm, okay, do you want to go home now?" said Senior Sion, raising his eyebrows slightly and smiling. I felt bad for him, but I also felt that if I stayed with him, I would show my bad side and be seen when I was moody. I returned to Senior Sion's smile and replied, "Yes, let's go. We still have a workshop and an interview tomorrow." Senior Sion nodded and stood up. "Let's go." I followed him and stood up. I was about to pick up our food wrappers and throw them away, but Senior Sion reached for them first. He held out his hand and said, "Give it to me, I'll throw it away." I nodded, handed him the trash in my hand, and said, "Thank you." Senior Sion just smiled and walked away to throw away the trash. I looked at his broad back and smiled, muttering, "He's such a gentleman. I'm sure many women like him. 100% straight, I'm sure."
