I opened my eyes in surprise when I heard a loud crash, as if it had landed right next to me. I turned to the source of the noise and saw a head with dark hair lying next to the bed. I was slightly startled before finally remembering that Rayan was supposed to be sleeping next to me.
I sat up and stretched my arms and neck, glancing at Rayan, who was sitting next to me. "Are you awake? What just fell?"
Rayab, noticing I was awake, turned and gave me an awkward smile, "Good morning."
I smiled slightly and immediately guessed that he, having been drunk the night before, had woken up and was shocked to find himself in a strange place and sleeping next to me. Since he wasn't fully awake, he must have gotten up in a hurry and fallen out of bed. Coupled with the missing nightstand lamp, I was certain that Rayan had accidentally bumped into it when he fell, which is why I heard the loud noise.
I shifted my body to sit on the side of the bed near where Rayan had fallen and asked him gently, "Are you hurt? Come here and sit. Let me check. That nightstand lamp is quite sharp, I'm afraid you've hurt yourself."
Rayan looked at me and replied in his slightly hoarse voice, "I'm fine, I just still feel a little dizzy from the hangover. As for the lamp, I'll replace it."
I chuckled and said, "There's nothing to replace, as long as you're not hurt, that's enough."
Rayan continued to stare at me and remained silent. I smiled lightly and stroked his hair before finally getting up to leave the bed. "You can wash your face first, and I'll be in the kitchen making breakfast."
I left Rayan, still reluctant to get up. In the kitchen, I didn't have many ingredients because I usually buy food from outside and rarely eat at home. I searched for what I could find and finally, from the several instant foods stored in the cupboard, I settled on instant porridge that only needed to be brewed with warm water. To make sure I wasn't so empty, I grabbed some sausages and boiled frozen vegetables from the fridge. I also made some coffee to accompany this simple breakfast.
By the time I finished making breakfast, Rayan hadn't come out of his room, so I went back to check on him. When I opened the door, I was shocked to see Rayan shirtless with wet hair.
"Oh, sorry, did you just get out of the shower?" I said, stepping back in a bit of panic and trying to avert my gaze from Rayan.
Rayan looked shocked and quickly put his clothes on. "Oh, sorry, did I keep you waiting? I was still feeling a little drunk, so I took a shower to freshen up."
"It's okay, I was just checking. I was afraid you might have fallen in the shower or something else," I replied hurriedly.
We had a quick and awkward breakfast, but since we had to go to the shooting location today, we didn't have time to dwell on what had happened. After I take a shower, Rayan and I immediately headed to the shooting location. Luckily, Rayan and I are the type of people who always prepare everything in advance when traveling, so our things were ready the day before we left. Furthermore, we knew that the night before we were going to the set, we would be having dinner with the staff, so there would definitely be some drinking.
When I brought Rayan up to my apartment, I saw the suitcase he had prepared in the living room, and there was even a note of his luggage. So, I easily packed Rayan's things, even though he was drunk and unconscious. I had also prepared my own things the day before, so the morning we left, we just had to load our suitcases into the car.
Rayan hadn't said anything since waking up about being in my apartment, or about the things I had brought. When I brought it up, Rayan simply said that he trusted me and that I had made the right decision. He didn't question why I hadn't let him sleep in his own apartment and instead brought him to mine, even though I had already driven him home. He didn't ask what had happened, and it seemed like nothing was wrong with him. However, I also noticed that he was much quieter than usual. However, when I asked, he simply said he was still feeling a little dizzy from hangover and wasn't very enthusiastic about it.
The trip to the set was quite long. I drove myself and didn't choose to take the actor and staff bus because, not only would we both be late, but also because I would be making a lot of back and forth. My job will be better if I have my own car to make it easier for me to move around later.
We arrived at the hotel and filming location. I saw the actors' and staff's bus already on site, but I only saw a few people sitting or standing around smoking nearby. I parked my car and we got out. I turned to Rayan, who immediately found a seat near my car.
"Are you still feeling drunk?" I asked quietly.
Rayan nodded, "I think I've been wanting to throw up since I got in the car."
"We should have stopped at a restaurant earlier to get some hangover soup. You seem a bit drunk, so sit here. I'll greet the others and get you some medicine or soup," I said, walking away without waiting for an answer.
I greeted the staff who were smoking and I asked about the others, "Where are the others? Have they gone inside?"
A staff member replied, "The director and several other staff members are already inside to sleep, they are very drunk. As for the actors, some of them came in earlier and went to sleep because they were drunk. There are also those who have come and then left again, saying they will go for a walk first because there are no activities this afternoon. If you want to come in, I'll get your room key. Rayan came with you, right? You're in the same room."
Hearing that, I immediately nodded and after getting the key, I invited Rayan into the room to sleep. Rayan followed me and After escorting Rayan to the room, I went back out and looked for a restaurant to buy soup and other food.
