I still didn't expect to see him again and meet him here, in a place I never expected to meet him. Even though I never thought I'd meet him again, why did I think like that? It's simple, because he has become a popular actor and model, plus he is also for a big agency, so compared to me, who entered the entertainment world just to try it and my focus is also more on music and bands, then it is clear that the possibility of us meeting again is very small. Although I had actually forgotten about him and focused on my own life, when I saw him again like this, I was reminded of him again and my admiration for him.
I stared at him walking into the casting room, not seeming to see me sitting between the other actors. I looked at him, who looked handsome in a white shirt and light brown pants. His tan skin makes him look different from other actors who are generally white, but that's what makes him attractive and stands out from the rest, not to mention his tall body with very fitting body proportions and his handsome face that fascinates everyone, including me. I'm very sure, with his acting skills that I saw in the series that he previously starred in, the possibility of him passing the casting this time will be very large, whatever role he takes then I'm sure he can do well. Because of that, I wanted more and more to take on a role in this series so that I could work together with my juniors.
Seeing that he had entered the room, I gave a small smile. Honestly, I can't hide my happiness about seeing him again after a long time. I didn't see him and only saw the series or just if I accidentally saw it in an advertisement. I tried to return to normal by lowering my head and reading the script in my hand. I didn't want the people next to me to look at me strangely because I was smiling alone.
Maybe because my serial number is not far from Rayan's serial number, soon I was called to get ready to enter the room. I and several others who were called immediately stood up from our seats and walked toward the casting room. The staff told us to sit in the empty seats according to order. I sat in the third seat from the entrance to the casting room. When the person sitting next to the door was called in, I would shift to fill the empty seat until it was time for me to sit right next to the door.
I waited for my turn to be called but somehow my turn turned out to be quite long. It seems the actor inside was long enough to display his abilities. I also haven't seen my junior come out of the casting room. Maybe he's still inside to show his acting skills. I heard the sound of the door being opened and I immediately turned around but it turned out that only the staff had come out and didn't know where to go. I took the opportunity when the casting room door opened to glance into the room and saw that inside my junior was actually in front of the judges showing off his acting skills. I really wanted to see him but the door quickly closed again.
I waited for a while until the casting room door was opened again and my eyes, which were directly on the door, immediately met the gaze of a handsome man who had just come out of the casting room. I was shocked and confused about what to do. I don't know if my junior still remembers me or not, but I can only see it and somehow my current expression. To be sure, I still didn't dare to say hello to him at first, but seeing that he was carrying a paper that said 'Fast Track', I was immediately happy, and definitely, I was also more excited to get a role in this series. I don't know which character he will play, but for sure I want to work in the same series as him.
Looks like my junior didn't remind me because after we accidentally looked at each other, he didn't react and just walked past me as usual. I realized that I was smiling and immediately changed my expression when the staff called my serial number to tell me to get ready. I glanced at my junior interview not far from me.
"Rayan, I'm sure that I will get a role in this series. I have to get it", I thought as I glanced at Rayan who was talking to a reporter and I heard that he was getting the role of Ron's character, which means he will be my partner if I get the role as Ed's character.
I walked out of the casting room with a fresh smile on my face, everything went very smoothly and the judges who were the producers, directors, and writers felt that I was very suitable for Ed's role, they even looked very happy with my presence inside, as if they were waiting for me. Maybe it's just my thoughts, but the important thing is that I get the role of Ed, so that means I will be the partner of Rayan, who plays Ron. Rayan and I will work together in this series.
After this, there will be another casting to see if our acting is paired with our co-stars. I'm definitely going to be paired with Rayan. I don't know if we will have the chemistry the producers want or not and if we can't have the chemistry, then it's very possible for us to be replaced by others. I don't want that to happen, so I will make sure that Rayan and I get this role.
I walked towards the waiting room and saw Rayan, who seemed to be standing at the side of the room alone. I looked at him and hoped he was looking back at me and somehow he actually looked back at me. Our gazes met each other and it was as if I could interpret Rayan's gaze, which meant he remembered me and that made me smile instantly for Rayan. Rayan is still the same as before, he looks at me with a sincere look and smiles back at me.
I'm very happy that Rayan still remembers me and I'm sure that this joy can't be hidden so that it shows on my face, but I'm even happier because Rayan also seems happy to meet me even now he walks over to me.
“Senior, are you here too? How are you?", asked Rayan with a bright smile like before and a voice that seemed to sound heavier than before but didn't change his cheerful way of speaking.
"Um, yes. I am, as it seems, I'm good. You're still very handsome like you used to be, like Kenny Ho”, I said, which made Rayan look at me in shock and I realized my own words seemed strange.
I was worried about Rayan's reaction but it turned out that Rayan just smiled and replied, "Senior can be, Senior also looks more handsome".
I know that he only answered me politely in return for my compliments, but somehow I was very happy with his answer because somehow it would sound weird if someone I hadn't seen in a long time said something like that right away. Someone suddenly nudged me from behind and said, "Sorry, excuse me".
I glanced at him and immediately replied, "Oh, yes".
