Wren If they thought I hadn’t noticed they were dodging my question they were sadly mistaken. I knew they were but I also knew it wouldn’t do any good to throw a tantrum over it. I knew deep in my heart that she was gone. It was the only possible explanation as to why she wasn’t by my bedside when I woke up. There was no way she wouldn’t have been. Which meant she was either gone, confined or sick somewhere. And I was betting on gone. She wouldn’t have run off , I knew that as well. Which meant she had gone for another reason. Me. The reason she had left was me. She had gone to get help for me. It made me mad. The fact that she kept putting herself at risk for my benefit. It was my job to protect her not the other way around.
