Where the hell was she? Dewi had made all the appropriate noises to get everyone in the small hospital evacuated with doing any real damage. Giving me and Amelia the chance to sweep in . I didn’t even bother to ask how she knew what room Opal was in . It didn’t really matter and it wasn’t my place to question her.
What did matter was the fact she was gone. The room was empty. Although I could smell Opal everywhere. Wherever she had gone , she had done so recently. Her scent was everywhere.
