48 “You’re sure you don’t mind me leaving again so soon?” my mother asked me four days ago, on Monday. Her bag was already packed. It’s not like she was going to change her mind. “Mom, I’m glad you’re going. Really. It’s so good for the business.” Not to mention for me.
