The day has finally come. Although Eleanor did few attempts of fled away but failed all over again. Even Viscountess had to beg her to stay after her last attempt. Through the whole week they spent together, she has grew closer with Viscountess Maria and she sometimes acted like a mom. It has been a week since her last sword training with Ruth as she wanted to hide the fact that she knew to wield sword. She tried to look for Ruth but he was nowhere to be seen.
The maid from the main palace came to dress her since morning for her debutante ball. The royal carriage has been waiting for her at the front door. Viscountess Maria on the other hand was so excited and keep complimenting her beauty together with the maids. She attentively helped Eleanor with her preparation since the morning.
"Oh my what a beauty you are My Princess. I wonder who came out with baseless rumours about you"
From what the Viscountess told her, this debutante ball will be so grand as she has never gone public before and the previous rumours about her has made The King upset and he was determined to clear the rumours. Eleanor can't keep but wonders if King George IV has saw her before.
After a long preparation, she is now ready to go. She looked in the mirror and can't believe that it is her, standing there. She praised the maids that they must have some magic on their hands that managed to turn a simple looking girl into a princess.
Her white dress with gold flowers embroidery complimented her beauty perfectly while her long silky golden hair was decorated with simple braid, faux white pearls and flowers.
"It was a waste that you never made public appearance before." Viscountess Maria let out a sigh.
"I just want this day to end quickly, shall we?" Eleanor let out her hand and walk towards the carriage while holding Viscountess Maria's hand. As they walked, she felt like someone is watching her.
"I must be having thoughts again"
Ignoring the feeling, she entered the carrriage.
