The knights and magicians were all on their own horses, ready to depart. Winter gave a brief speech, explaining the routes to both knights and magicians. They were divided into two groups, depending on their own roles. The two groups will used different routes and met again at the monastery.
"Sir Alan Winchester, Sir Ade Ibellion and I will be escorting grand wizard, mage ronald, mage Jasper and mage camellius. We should met again at the war camp in two weeks"
After wishing each other for safe journey, both groups departed. Eleanor learned that her group will stopped by the monastery on their way to the camp. All grand wizards from magic tower will be staying there and casted as many magic object as they could. They will only joined the war if the monster managed to break through the second wall of defence. Their jouney was rather relaxed as the knights were being considerate towards the grand wizard who was no longer young and fit for long journey. Unfortunately teleportation magic was incongruous for long journey and grand wizard had to ride a horse too.
They rode for a whole day and camped for the night. Ade skillfully set a bonfire while Ronald made some stew for all of them. Jasper and winter went feeding all the horses. They got along so well thanked to the grand wizard who created a warm atmosphere for all off them.
"Mage Camellius! Come sit here."
Alan who had been trying so hard to get along with her offered a seat beside him while putting more small branches onto the fire. His efforts was noticeable as he kept dragging Eleanor on idle chatters during the journey.
"Can I just sit beside the grand wizard?"
Eleanor who was still on her guard refused his offers all the times, even to join a conversation.
"Do you by any chance.... the grandson of grand wizard?"
Alan caress his hair while looking straight at her. Ade
