Chapter 6

Eleanor dashed towards her bedroom after reading the letter with the royal seal. Her heart was throbbed mercilessly through the content of the letter.

Marienne can only stood behind the door, holding tears that piled up. It is exactly like three years ago where Eleanor cried her heart out and Marienne can only stood behind the door, holding her tears. For her, the princess is a pitiful and lonely person the need to be saved. However, there is no one the palace that dares to comfort the princess whenever she wept as the consequence of whenever the princess couldn't get a hold of herself is releasing a huge amount of darkness affinity.

Princess Eleanor Ivy is undoubtedly a very beautiful princess, as beautiful as her name. Her birth however was like a curse, not only losing her mother during childbirth but she was also born with darkness affinity. Her emotions will affect the affinity a lot, that is why she had no other choice but to stay calm despite of how heartbreaking she felt.

3 years ago, a twelve years old Eleanor was chatting at the back of the palace with Ruth, who was two years older than her.

"El, how was your etiquette class? Everyone keep talking about how graceful you are during the class."

"It was boring. It's not like I will be meeting anyone anyway."

"Hah you always said that. "

"It's true right? No one knew that The King has a princess anyways."

Eleanor has always acted like being a princess is nothing much than a title. As if it can be throw away anytime. She has always trying hard to live a life where she would die without regrets, except for the fact that everything would be in different order because she is a royal.

"Now where is my beloved nanny, she promised me some stew here after my class."

"Princess!" a maid was running towards them as if there is someone chasing her.

She looked at the maid with a blank expression, not having any clues why is the maid behaving that way.

"Princess, the knight came with a news that Lily has been found dead. Her carriage was attacked by a gang of thugs on her way back from the church"

Eleanor can no longer hear what the maid is saying after that. She couldn't feel anything as if her senses has gone numb. A while later she can feel that her body is moving by itself.
