Meeting A New Friend

1259 Words
°Good morning class, today we would be talking about the biosynthesis of fatty acids but before we begin, I will like to remind you that we will be going on our first outing into the beast lands in a month, this is not to fight any beasts but to get to study them on the outside.° °Like how they react towards people, the types they are, the food they eat, and so on. We would be watching them from Afar so they won’t end up attacking us, I’m too young to lose my head° This statement made the students burst into a fit of laughter. Who would believe that the strong warrior was scared of losing his head but who can blame him, the beasts were said to be dangerous and they don’t have a mind of their meaning they’re mainly just beasts. There have been some sightings of more intelligent Beasts that could spot anyone from miles away. The class was coming to an end and no one was planning on waiting for another minute, most of the students were packing up their bags ready to leave this torturous class. Sluggishly leaving the class was Cox Greenbell, the only Omega male present in the Still Dawn Pack. He has a reputation for being the weakling and a target for bullies. The amount of beating he gets in a day most wolves can’t handle or bear it, yet he bears it and handles it like it’s no man’s business. He has ten fractured ribs, A swollen eye, and five broken fingers. Although he is healing but at a very slow rate due to his gene. Getting to his locker to get his books for the next class, after opening his locker, he heard a Bang! Making him turn in that direction, noticing His favorite three bullies hitting a human according to the scent emitting from him. °Hey Blue! Why don’t you pick on someone of your race? Stopping his fist mid-air, he turned to face the courageous speaker, knowing it’s the Omega, the only one who talks back regardless of the countless beating he gets. °Omega you better watch it and stay out of it this time, you need to realize that we’re trying not to get you into this mess, mind your business for once except you want a beating?° Even though he knew he could do nothing but only take the beating for the human, he didn’t care all he knew was it wasn’t a fair deal. A werewolf hitting a human means the human's death and the poor human knows nothing about their species will think it was just some ordinary bully. °Like I could care less. Beating a human up is pure cheating in this whole ordeal, why don’t you beat up someone of your own, someone equal to you and can heal just as fast° He knew he was bluffing and getting a beating would just prove how weak he was, especially when he hasn’t healed from the previous wounds. Everyone had gathered but he just couldn’t care, he knows he might regret his decision but he wasn’t willing to let a human die out of ignorance. °You piece of s**t! You’re not equal to me or anyone else here or in the pack, you’re just some weakling who came to put shame on the Alpha’s family!° Blue was enraged, why will this petty Omega dare to compare himself to me and every other member in the pack. Unbelievable I’ll show him what it means to be weak. °Grab him!° He commanded his friends Red and Gary. Both grabbing Cox and pinning him against the locker like a punching bag. Smirking Blue sent his fist flying towards His face. Another blow to the stomach, another to his nose, another to his ribs, another to his chest, by then their grip on him has loosened and rounds of kick were directed to different parts of his body. Finally satisfied with their torture and sending a final kick to his face they left the hallway sending all students back to class. All the while, The human couldn’t remove his eyes from the torture they put his savior through. At first, he was confused and couldn’t comprehend their conversation but after a while, he was starting to put the puzzle together but he was still missing some pieces. Not wanting to dwell on it too much and abandon his savior, he stood up from his previous position and went towards the beaten boy. Who could barely be recognized lifting him, he felt like he was lifting a Boulder. If he were to tell someone how this small person weighed, they wouldn’t believe him. Taking him to the school clinic, he was about to open the door when the door opened and revealed a beautiful young lady with piercing green eyes, a small nose, and small Lips that were parted in complete horror. Lifting Cox like he weighed nothing into the room and placing him in a bed. °Blue did this, didn’t he? He hurt my nephew again! Yet I can do nothing about it° Raising her palms towards the physical injuries she could find and healing them in an instant. Not caring that a human had just witnessed her using her powers. Right now her priority was her nephew and no one else. Finally turning towards the human, she could see that he was also injured, immediately getting to work, healing him. When finally looking at the boy properly, she knew he was the reason for her nephew's current state because knowing her nephew, he would always want to help those that can’t fight back just like himself and this boy being human brought out the Omega part of her nephew that he never liked. °Tell me what happened. But before you tell me, I know you have some questions but I won’t be the one to tell the important ones to you, and I can only give you answers if you can promise me that you don’t say a word to any other humans° °I promise° °Werewolf exists so do witches, fairies, vampires and so many mythological creatures. And currently, you’re in werewolf territory. This pack is called the Still Dawn’s Pack and it’s the 2nd strongest pack in the whole of Somalia. °Now tell me what happened° He narrated everything that happened since the moment he asked them for directions and how Cox interfered. °So they hit you just because you tapped them and asked for directions!? Those kids will hear from me.° ° You do not have to get involved, it might make it worse. Please I don’t want I or Cox to get any more beatings.° °I understand but do help me in taking care of him.° Two hours later Cox woke up feeling disoriented, taking in his surroundings of white walls and the smell of bleach mixed with his auntie’s scent filling the air. Knowing he was at the clinic. Sitting upright, his throat was scratchy, taking the water placed on the table beside the bed, he took a drink before noticing a piece of the sticky note on the table. Reading the contents he saw it was from the human he helped. Smiling to himself, all he could think about was that he’d finally made a new friend or rather his only friend.
