Ellora was shell shocked for a moment. Understandably so, I gave her some time to let the news sink in.
“What do you mean by…he is your mate?” she stuttered, part anxious and part puzzled.

I went on to describe the events in bits and pieces, letting my secrets out loud for once because they were becoming a heavy burden for me to contain.
