KIERA Past “Breathe, breathe.” I was tired of listening to the same word again and again from every nurse, doctor, and person in the room. Ellora and mom panicked, in turn raising my blood pressure.  My contractions were coming too hard and too fast, given what I had read in every possible book about childbirth. Since I had to be cooped up in my room, only allowed to roam inside the house or the gardens adjoining the house, I tried to learn as much as there was to know about giving birth to twins.  Generally, when a female goes through pregnancy and delivery, it is her mate who accompanies her everywhere.
