Samuel looked at Clara with contempt. Fiona, though scheming, wouldn’t stoop this low. She wouldn’t set him up with Clara knowing his aversion to her.
Despair flashed across Clara’s face. Suddenly, with a look of determination, she pulled out her phone and opened a file.
Just as Fiona was about to hang up the phone, a familiar voice echoed from the other end.
“Clara, I’ve arranged everything. Uncle Samuel has agreed to go. Don’t worry, just get ready. I’ll make an excuse that I can’t make it so you two can be alone.”
“Okay, but I’m a little scared... Samuel... Has he really changed his mind about me?”
