Chapter 19

After the Prince left, Kana called Yun.

"Your Grace." he said while kneeling.

"Follow the prince and report to me." he said in a chilly voice,

Yun nodded before he disappeared like air on that cold night.

Kana sit properly as he waited, he ask Sheen to give him some tea.

Exactly an hour later, Yun came back.

"Report." Kana stiffly said.

"His highness the Crown Prince didn't go to his father, he goes to his study room because Consort Park has been waiting there. He scolded her for waiting in the cold weather. Crown Prince Sunwoo accompanied her to her Pavilion and I leave them there." Yun said while his head was low.

"Dismissed."

Kana already knew from the start when he heard Khlui called the crown prince earlier that he lied.

Did Consort Park bribed him to do that? Where does Consort Park got her confidence to lie using the Emperor?

Kana waited for another hour, but Prince Sunwoo didn't come back.

He felt his heart racing with mix unnamed emotions.

Kana decided to sleep, brushing all his negative thoughts away.

Then he heard the door opened and the space of his bed, move.

"Are you asleep now my love? I told you to wait for me."

"It's been an hour, I thought you won't comeback, how's your father?" Kana managed to ask despite his voice is breaking.

So this is the feeling of the legal wives who caught their husbands with their mistress. So ugly!

Kana won't sit still if there's a harem in the Empire, he cannot stay still specially when he experience how gentle and loving the Prince was. He cannot afford to know that he will do the same to other women.

Consort Park is enough to make his blood boil, an entire Harem will make Kana old in no time!

"It's not my father, some desperate person I know, Khlui doesn't have a choice but to call me because she won't go away. And if this matter will reach the First Imperial Consort, she will intervene in my personal matters, and I know she will involve my father like always, are you mad at me?" Prince Sunwoo said as he pull Kana on his shoulder to face him.

"Do I have any reason to be mad?" Kana asked back.

So Kana is right, Khlui doesn't have a choice because Consort Park was desperate.

"Shall we sleep now? You'll leave early tomorrow." Kana didn't stop his body from moving on its own, he scooted closer to the Prince and hugged him tight, burying his face on Crown Prince Sunwoo's neck.

Crown Prince Sunwoo didn't move for a bit because he got stunned on his Consort's gesture, but he hugged him tight in return as well.

"Yes, we will leave tomorrow, with your father and brother." He said while his fingers comb the long silky hair of Kana.

"Should we send you off?" Kana slowly said, his eyes are now half hooded.

"Yes, of course... Sleep now my love."

Kana felt warm when he hugged the prince, when was the last time he felt this warm? He cannot remember.

The next morning, Kana was awaken by the loud sound of the gong.

"What's that?" He rubbed his eyes.

Prince Sunwoo chuckled.

He's been awake for a while and he left to his own Pavilion to change into his war outfit and come back immediately, he wanted Kana to wake up seeing him.

Prince Sunwoo kiss his lips.

"Goodmorning, my sunflower."

Kana reach up his two arms.

Prince Sunwoo leaned down and Kana hugged him.

"Goodmorning my sunshine... Ugh, you're so heavy!" Kana snorted when he felt the heaviness of the armored clothes.

"We should prepare before the third sound of the gong." He helped Kana to get up, and their breakfast was already served.

They eat without any nasty extra activities.

Then Kana freshen up before putting some pretty clothes on and accessories. He wanted to annoy someone.

They walk hand in hand towards the Imperial court where a traditional send off ceremony was prepared by the Emperor to their warriors going on to the borders, most specifically that the three Princes joining them.

Kana look around when they arrived, and there he saw a fuming mad, Consort Park beside her were the three remaining Consorts.

"His Highness Crown Prince Sunwoo, with the First Princess Consort Han." a eunuch announced their arrival.

"Greetings, Your Highness, Your Grace." they all said in chorus, adding more fuel to Consort Park's anger.

Prince Haii look at how beautiful Kana is from afar. He's not his now. He will never be his again.

The send off ceremony went on, The five Consorts of The Crown Prince line up according to their ranks.

Prince Sunwoo goes to the fifth whom he didn't even know the name.

"I wish your safety, Your Highness." She whispered and kiss Prince Sunwoo's hand, same goes to the third and second Consort.

Consort Park wanted to show off that she and the Prince already had some understanding, so instead of kissing his hand, she kissed his cheek.

Kana didn't even felt surprised, it was expected because she's a bitch... an itchy b***h.

Prince Sunwoo didn't retaliate since everyone is watching, but he touch Consort Park's hair before moving towards Kana, who on the other hand remain expressionless.

Unlike the other Consort, Kana didn't move to kiss the Prince instead, he look at him in the eyes.

"Come back alive no matter what."

Crown Prince Sunwoo nodded and he kissed Kana on his forehead before turning his back to everyone.

He has a war to win, for his Empire, his People and his future Empress.
