Kana muffled a scoff when he look at Consort Lin.
"That's not true at all, where did you heard these hearsays? Do you perhaps heard that The Crown Prince and I often walk to the market, and here in the palace gardens, sometimes he took me at the back of this palace just to look at the setting sun. Prince Sunwoo oftentimes spend his rest day with me.. So I am wondering how the rumor about Prince Haii's love for me reach your ears and yet you didn't heard anything about what I had mention."
Kana smiled after seeing Consort Lin got stunned, he know the look of a jealous person, Consort Lin might be smiling but Kana knows deep inside she's in rage.
Jealousy is a real ugly feeling.
No matter how good of a person you are, if this feeling creep and flowed on you, it won't give you any good.
"There's no use of you getting so work up about his rumored love for me because I am now a woman of the Crown Prince. His alone and not for any man. You should focus on having Prince Haii's love and not on digging his past."
Kana tap Consort Lin's back before he face the Empress.
"Pardon me Your Highness, I wanted to rest for a while.. I will be back later in the afternoon." Kana bowed.
"Sure thing Kana'er, looks like my son worn you out. Please go get rest." Empress Jong unconsciously said that without thinking that the rest of the Consorts are there, she just wanted to tease Kana, though it turned out wrong.
Kana smiled shyly by covering his mouth by his sleeves, The rest of the consorts rolled their eyes at him but he just shrugged it off and go back to his own Pavilion.
When he came, he let Sheen remove his outer robe, leaving the thin undergarments and he sat on the bed, and covered himself with the warm blanket. He felt tired. Or unusually sad. He don't know.
Kana flick his fingers, and Yun appeared.
"Any news about the Emperor?" he lazily ask.
"You might get shock Your Grace but I found out something strange." Yun said and handed Kana an empty vial of medicine.
"This came from the Imperial Academy of Medicine I saw a servant burying them at the back of the Sunflower Palace, I took one and wash to remove the dirt coated it, and to see what's inside but the smell wasn't even removed by running water."
"One?" Kana ask.
"It's more like a hundred bottles Your Grace." Yun thought for a while.
A hundred? So they've been feeding the Emperor this stuff for a long time now?
"And at the back of the Palace of the Empress?"
"Yes, Your Grace."
Kana sniff the bottle and his eyes widened. Of course he knew the smell, though in the modern world the product is diluted but this one is pure!
Cyanide, the one using this might put even a drop on food or drink of the Emperor, in the long run, he fell sick.
"Who did you see is the person holding this?" Kana said, they don't have any machine here to know any fingerprints left in the small vial, so they will rely on their eyes.
Yun hesitantly looked down.
"The servant of Consort Pleng."
Kana's eyes widened.
"When?"
"Last night Your Grace. You told me yesterday to keep an eye on Consort Pleng while V Keeps an eye on Consort Mia."
Kana fell into a deep thought.
The Consort who rarely talk, stiff and formal? She did this?
"Find out her reason and keep your eyes on her." Kana swayed his hands, signaling Yun to leave.
Kana didn't feel good at all. He felt sad and his heart long for the person heading to the borders now.

After three weeks of arduous trip, Prince Sunwoo arrive at the borders with General Han and Commander Yin.
They are greeted by Yuan Special Army.
"General Ling Jiwon." Prince Sunwoo said and he smiled.
"Or should I call you, Prince Jiwon?"
General Ling shook his head.
"We need to dethrone my step father first. I'm sorry for this sudden war, Your Highness. The throne of Yuan has been mishandled by a hungry sly fox who wanted power."
"And here I thought we will face rebels, aren't we are going to fight against the Emperor of Yuan?" Prince Sunwoo said.
"Pardon for that excuse Your Highness, I sent a letter to your father Emperor asking for help for our entire Empire, saying my concern to keep the real reason hidden. The Yuan Emperor killed my mother, the Empress so he can have all the power and he is planning to conquer Siam and Silla, Their soldiers will arrive soon as well."
So this is a war for political alliance, if General Jiwon succeed to dethrone his step father, he will be the next Emperor of Yuan, sounds good for Sunwoo if he will sit into his throne and he already had an alliance with the Yuan, it's beneficial for the both of them.
As much as Crown Prince Sunwoo wanted to fix this in a diplomatic way, he changed his mind when he heard that the current Emperor wanted to conquer his own Empire.
"Prepare for war." he said and they all settled and get ready.
Prince Sunwoo get inside his tent and write on a paper anything that has been said by the Prince of Yuan.
He called Moon and ask the messenger bird to take a letter to Kana.
He hopes Kana will be fine in the Palace.
