The banquet goes on after the announcement of the ranks and then it ended up on Crown Prince Sunwoo assigning the newly proclaimed Princess Consorts of their designated pavillion and duties, since Crown Prince Sunwoo doesn't have the throne yet, the new Princess Consorts tends to do what their father does, hence Lady Han proceeded on helping the Imperial Armory.

Kana felt satisfied on the results, at least it is well done, he saw the proud appearance of his parents after he approached them.

Madame Yoon look at his son from head to toe, he remembered when he was just a little sickly boy and seeing him on how he fought for this selection made her almost thought that this is not the same boy they had.

"Congratulations, Your Grace." She said while wiping her teary eyes.

She is so happy that Kana managed to secure their stand in the Imperial Palace and his secret as a man is safe as well because Kana was selected for the Crown Prince.

"Mother," Kana said in his strain voice.

"Call me Kana'er as you used to, I'm still your son... Father!" Kana look at his father while pouting.

Even If they are not his real parents, still he is happy to have them in this timeline.

"Your Grace, that's against the Palace protocols, our child or not, you are now a candidate to be the mother of the nation, congratulations." General Han felt proud.

"I will visit again tomorrow, I'll give you more servant for your new Pavillion, don't accept any servant given by the palace, they might be a mole or underdog of the Imperial Consort," Madame Yoon said in a low voice, "Expect me tomorrow."

Kana just nodded and bid goodbye to his parents.

The very next day, they moved to the Jade Pavillion, Sheen and Lili are very happy for the huge courtyard that they have.

It has a small man-made lagoon filled with lilies, there's a flower garden and even a kitchen.

The whole Jade Pavilion courtyard was filled with gifts coming from the Imperial family.

The Shadow guards are free to roam around the courtyard if they don't have any guests, Kana even assigned a place for RM to study his medicines, he ask RM to teach him some medical stuffs.

No matter how much Crown Prince Sunwoo wanted to visit Kana personally, he cannot leave the officials on their daily meetings and planning on going to the war.

It is his duty as the next Emperor since his father got sick.

Emperor Jong's body weaken even more after attending the Consort selection.

He became even more weak each day.

Moon, Crown Prince Sunwoo's owl messenger only managed to sent letter to the new first rank princess Consort for he cannot do it personally as of now. As the next ruler of the nation, He should do what's best for the majority.

Crown Prince Sunwoo just wished that this problem will end soon so he will be able to spend some time with his beloved Princess Consort, Kana.

At the Gold Pavillion where Consort Park was situated, she received the same gifts so as the other Consort, she also have additional servants and guards, but what she wanted now is to see the Crown Prince. She's so disappointed because he didn't appear but she also heard that they are all busy for the preparations for the rising war in the border.

Lulu, her personal servant was with her, she's glad that Lulu was not beaten, Lulu was just hit on her nape rendering her unconscious. Lulu informed her about the daily visit they should perform to the Empress every morning.

Consort Park won't sit still, she needs to move before the Crown Prince will leave. She should be pregnant.

On the East part of the Palace, in the Emerald Pavillion, the place where the first Imperial Consort resides, Prince Haii was there, again, asking like a little kid to his mother.

"Mother, tell me what's your next move, your plan already succeeded when you told the Emperor to send us all to the borders." Prince Haii, again walk to and fro inside the Palace of the first Imperial Consort.

"You will find out my next move after you reach the borders. For now. Get ready for war. They should see my son working really hard even though he is not the crown prince. Remember that I am doing this all for you. If Sunwoo will get the throne, he will exile us!" She gritted her teeth.

It has always been like that, the new Emperor will get the throne, the remaining family who doesn't have a stand in the Empire will be thrown away to a province, drowning in poverty.

Imperial Consort Mia cannot afford that to happen, she work hard to be where she is now, this Palace became her everything. She lived here, and she will die here.

If Crown Prince Sunwoo will successfully become the Emperor, he will have an Empress and it's hard to tell now if that will be Lady Park because it is clear as the day that the Crown Prince likes Lady Han, so Lady Park remains as her Plan B.

If ever Lady Park succeeded, Consort Mia will be the Empress Regent, and she won't be exiled, but that is 50% of the chances. She heavily sigh. She has to move immediately so they can control everything.

"Fine mother, but at least alert me so I will know what to do." Prince Haii said and bowed to leave.

"Stay Away from Lady Han, she's just a hindrance to our next move. I don't want you to have any emotional involvement on her."

Prince Haii nodded. Of course he know that he doesn't have any hope left with Kana.

The scene in the garden repeats on his head where Sunwoo took Kana's finger in his mouth, they looked intimate and that made Prince Haii even more mad.

Seems like everything he had, Sunwoo is taking it all away.
