Unholy-Sam Smith and Kim Petras
CHAPTER 46
CORINNE
That night, both of us went inside his house like everything in that car didn’t happen.
I can see it in his eyes, how much he wanted me, how much he craved for me. even if he tells me that he doesn’t want anything to do with me anymore.
I know it’s a very sinful act to do for someone whose dating your friend, or at least my old friend.
But I can’t even deny him, he’s like a drug, he’s like a perfect subject for the art I am so eager to do.
The way we move with each other, the way we grind, it feels holy. It’s like I am doing holy things to someone whose unholy as him. And I want that thought, I want that perspective, like he was the one whose pushing me to do crazy things, bad things.
That night, as I finished taking a shower, I saw him leaving the mansion with nothing but a complete dark hoody on his head. It’s like he doesn’t want to be seen, but even though I can see him, the thing is I can feel him when he’s near, and that made me look at the window and saw him leaving.
What is this?
What am I feeling?
It’s feels wrong but so f*****g right at the same time.
The next day, after I finished all my class for the day. I hurried to the bakery, my first day at my part time job that Blaze helped me get.
Gran greeted me warmly and immediately taught me the ins and outs of my job. Cleaning, order taking and just making sure everything's okay. Gran said that was the only thing she would make me do because she knew that I was tired from studying all day. Even though I tried to convince her that I was fine, she insisted. She's like her grandson, Blaze, stubborn. But one thing I love about her is, she is very gentle, and she has this calm aura that when you see her or even be with her, you seem to feel calm in her presence. And the fact, that she loves and is close to her Son-in-law, Havoc is great. What they have is unbreakable and priceless. I just couldn't believe that I would see the essence of true family in the most powerful family in America. Even if other people's view of the Mafia is pure blood and chaos. They proved me wrong.
All of them, they have resected each other. Except Diesel. That asshole is a f*****g traitor.
I couldn’t even believe it myself.
We’re both standing at the counter, waiting for some customer to finished eating.
“You know what—” she starts “—Mathew is a very good kid.”
I smile through myself because even if I just know him for a while, I witness how good he can be. “I think he is.”
I looked at her and she’s already looking at me, smiling. “He just has a very tragic life after his Mom died. My daughter—” she smiled, but not in a bitter way, as if she was glad, she’s reminiscing her daughter. “—Marsha. She loves him with all his heart, so when the doctor made her choose. She chooses him. For him to be able what this world can offer.”
"Don't get me wrong, but I just want to know. How do you manage to just accept everything that happened to your late daughter?" I sigh "--It feels so easy for you from what I see."
“Have you experienced losing someone because of death?”
I nod “I did.” But unlike her, my eyes were full of anger and pain.
"I accepted what happened to my daughter because I know the life, she gave will not go to nothing." She smiled "--She chose love, and I can see that in her son every day. So, I accept that Marsha chose her son to live instead of her. God knows, I will do the same. That's the essence of being a mother. The moment you bring or give birth to a child in this world, everything is no longer about you. Everything is about your child."
I didn’t notice that there’s a tear in my eyes after she said those words, like it’s the perfect word one can say about me.
“Oh—” she looks at me and put her arms around me. “Honey, I didn’t mean to—”
I shake my head and smiled at her “No, I needed those words, thank you for saying something like that to me.”
“You lost your Mother?”
I nod “Yeah. Just like how Blaze lost his.”
She wrapped her arms around me “Sweetheart, she will be proud of you. For the woman you have become.”
I nod “Thank you.”
We both left shocked when the shop’s front door opens so loud, it was Blaze. Wet and looks furious staring straight at me.
“Mathew? What brings you here?”
He didn’t answer his Grandmother instead he walks straight to me, “Blaze?” I ask him.
He held my arm tightly and pulled me out of the shop. "Just a sec, Gran." He told his grandmother but he doesn't even bother looking at her.
Once were outside the shop, he backed me up the wall and held me by my neck, rain is falling to the both of us hardly “What did you do?”
“What?”
"Drop the act, you were the only one my father talked to that morning. You are the only one who can tell him about my relationship with Hannah--"
I tried to push him off of me, to no avail. He just backed me more on the wall. “I didn’t. Why would I tell him that?”
“Because you’re so f*****g desperate for my d**k—”
Before he can even finish, I slapped me hard that made him stop.
He scoffed “Hannah is missing.”
“What?” it feels like all the blood in my veins dropped in a second.
“She’s f*****g missing. Pray to whoever god you’re calling out to that I won’t figure out that it was because of you, you don’t know what you just did.”
“I didn’t do anything!” My voice is shaking so hard in fear. She’s missing.
He shoves me out of his sight and starts walking away from me, I fished my phone out of my jeans pocket and tried calling Hannah, and I go straight to voicemail.
That night, when I finished my part time job, I headed straight into Hannah’s house. There was no also sign of someone is in there.
“Excuse me?” I called out their next-door neighbor.
“Yes?” she looks at me.
“Do you have any idea where might they be?”
She shakes her head “I have no clue. We just saw them getting inside a luxury car and all they’re belongings were inside a truck following the luxury car.” She said.
Oh f**k.
“Thank you.”
“No problem.”
Where are they?
Who did this?
