Song for this Chapter:
Drowning-Backstreet Boys
BLAZE
I see her.
I always see her even without looking.
For years, I have tried my best not to linger my sight on her longer, that will catch some attention.
For years, I have been watching her from afar.
Laughing, and looking at my cousin the whole time.
I know Diesel is in love with her too.
But I made sure the fucker who wouldn't dare to move nor did the same exact audacity that he did years ago for touching what is mine.
I made sure of that.
So, even if the breeze is cold. It's not the wind that makes my feathers rise now. It was because of her. The way she walks on those cherry red high heels and a white short fitted dress that covers all her outstanding assets.
I am glad she chose to hide it.
Because I don't want anyone else, watching her with the same stars in the eyes just like I do.
For years, whenever I see some douchebag or heard someone even say her name, I cut all loose. Before it was getting out of hand.
And that's why I love our power in this world because they stepped back once I was involved.
For the rest of the christmas party, I am having a good time but also watching her.
She was drunk and this is the first time I had ever seen her smiling and actually having a good time after her friend died.
I don't know her name but I stopped by the funeral just to see Corinne.
And I don't know, but ever since her friend died, she's been looking at me with fury and madness in her eyes.
A call broke my stance, it was my Father.
Then I remembered that Diesel and I left him all alone in the mansion for this party on Christmas Eve.
Guilt course through me.
My Father is a good man with bad deeds.
I couldn't say that he was a typical Dad, because he isn't. But he's a good Father and a husband to my Mother from what my Grandma tells me.
I went out of the party and took the call.
Having smoke outside this winter is a perfect feeling.
Dad was asking me when we will go home and I told him soon, and that he's going to wait for us before he eats and I told him if he's starving he should eat without us but he insists.
Then a light hit me on my face, and I looked at some headlights that were too fast lunging for me.
Then I saw her driving.
She was the one who was driving.
Then my Father speaks and sighs on the other line "Corinne Lewis thought that you killed Gianne Montgomery is that true?"
That explains it all. All the looks, all the madness, all the hatred she was silently giving me.
But at that moment, I didn't run. I let her do her thing.
This is the first time she noticed me, the first time she gave me her attention.
When the car is too close my Father on the other line speaks again "Blaze?"
Then I answered him "No." Before the impact hits me between her car and the maple tree.
But when I looked up, she was bleeding as well.
At that point, I know. I am deeply in love with this person that it was too scary that even if she kills me, that won't end there.
Oh, how I am craving for her looks at attention ever since.
