Last Flight Out-Plus One
CHAPTER 87
BLAZE
I know everything.
I know everything that had happened and yet I feel so trapped and useless.
I needed to let her go in order for her to save herself.
From what I gathered, this isn’t just a normal revenge. It has something else, for me and Diesel. For our lives.
I realized that I can save her if she wasn’t on my wings.
I realized that I can love her even more if she’s far away from me.
Because from the start, it wasn’t her that bad luck’s always following.
It was me and my hell.
She caught in this untangled mess just because I love her.
She got all the misery and pain she felt it was all because I was so selfish enough to think that I can love her.
For twenty-five days, that was the most crucial and painful days for me not being able to breath the same air as her.
I had to do my very best not to crawl back to her and beg her on my knees to love me and never leave me after what I did.
I have to act tough and cold, for all my enemies to see that she wasn’t that important to me.
I know only a bad person would wish for another person's downfall, but I have never come clean as a good person. I hope that by replacing Corinne as a Cosa nostra Heir's wife and replacing her for Hannah, Hannah will be the target of the enemies I have yet to meet.
I also can't be complacent that Corinne will be safe in Paris. She chose to fly and moved to Paris for good. It's not that I don't have confidence in her abilities, that Girl has more demons inside her that can't just be seen. I don't trust my opponents. I know they are not stupid enough to immediately believe that Corinne is nothing for me. That's why I even sent out my staff to watch Corinne after she left here in the USA and as soon as she landed in Paris.
And here I am in the middle of the night, drinking myself to death.
Bu, I shouldn’t be dead, I should finish this task and make sure she’s safe enough to live alone in this world even without me anymore.
I promised her heaven.
And I will do my very best to give it all just for her.
My phone kept blasting, calls from Carina and Diesel and sometime from Marv. And I didn’t want to talk to all of them, because I know, they will only say the same thing. She left. She left me. She left me full of anger and hatred in her heart against me. She left me with no intention of coming back.
So, instead of kept on hearing that non-stop ringtone of my phone, I opened my television and put it on the highest volume possible, but as soon as I turn it on, I wished I never did. Because if I didn’t, I will always know that she’s alive and living her best life in Paris.
"The explosion that happened this afternoon here at the John F. Kennedy airport was horrible, the authorities have barely recovered any bodies or bodies of the passengers on board for almost five hours--" I could no longer hear the voices clearly. the reporter then said, the only thing that became clear was when he began to list the confirmed airline passengers who were already on board, "--also included among the declared dead is the daughter of the Senator, Senator Marcus Lewis, Corinne Angeline Lewis."
No. no. no.
This can’t be.
She can’t be dead.
She can’t f*****g leave me even if I says so!
I saw in the background is her father, her asshole of a father along with Carina, Diesel and Savannah.
My body trembling, my hands shaking as I thrashed our whole house.
And suddenly, none of this is making sense at all.
