Song for this Chapter: Traitor-Olivia Rodrigo CHAPTER 64 CORINNE Blaze is nowhere to be found. It’s already been thirty minutes ago since the event started and he’s still not here. I tried calling him several times but I will go straight in to his voicemails. Did he forget about tonight? Did something happen? Congratulations to me from far and wide did not end after I took out my sculpture. I hear only one word from all of them, Marvelous. Shouldn't I be happy now because my sculpture is somehow being given attention? But why am I standing alone in front of it while staring. My sculpture is Him, It's Blaze, his full features and body, but I made his wings clipped and damaged and painted it black. Everyone who sees it, knows it's Blaze. I even heard one of the guests say how sweet of me to make my husband his own sculpture. But I can't be happy, because the only person I'm waiting for is not here with me. Diesel and Carina arrived first, followed by Marcus and Martha who never stopped bragging to their friends. Havoc followed, and so far, he's still gone. Diesel came standing beside me while looking at the piece too, he’s smiling at me and I smiled at him “I am sure he’s just late.” I nod “Yeah, I hope so.” Die clicks his tongue and look at the piece again, “It’s him.” I smiled. “It is him.” “So, are you in love with him?” I looked at Diesel and nod my head with a warm smile on my face, it feels too good to say it out loud. “Blaze, my son.” It’s Havoc, that made me turn around and finds him. And when I finally do, he’s already staring back at me, then to Diesel, then back at me. He has this grave look on his face that he seems to look like he’s not giving a f**k. What happened? He walks closer to me, and that is when he noticed the human like figure of a sculpture in front of him, he stopped mid walking, his attention set only on the piece. Tears in my eyes started to form, I was hoping that he will love me back. This is my f*****g statement that I am in love with him, and I want him to do something about it. His eyes set back on mine, and I smiled at him, hoping, waiting. That is when someone walks behind him that caught my attention. It’s Hannah. She’s smiling so brightly at me, she didn’t even make an effort to hold on to my husband arms but she stood there behind him, making a statement. She’s back. My smile falls as I looked at Blaze and Hannah back and forth. What is happening? She slowly walks towards me; the clinking of her heels made my ear hurts. She leans in closer and kissed me on my cheeks “Congratulations to your event, Dear friend.” There’s no hint of genuine in her voice, it was pure of madness and veins. “What are you doing here?” My voice breaks. “Claiming what is mine.” “There’s never here that yours, Hannah.” She chuckles “Are you sure?” She looks up at the sculpture and smiled evilly. “I am sure I have.” The event is finished without anyone noticing the commotion we had as a family. They didn’t even notice how broken I am. During the entire remainder of the event, Blaze didn't come near me, he and Havoc talked and from time to time I see Havoc looking at Hannah, but there's something about Hannah now that she doesn't seem to care what happens to her. I knew it was going to happen, I prepared myself, but why is it so painful? All of our family apart from Marcus and Martha was escorted out of the museum's parking lot by me. Grandma was also there and she didn't leave me the whole time. She looks disappointed with Blaze. Havoc was also gone and left first with Grandma. When I turned around, Hannah was already clinging to my husband's arm. And I have to act that I'm okay and I can handle it in front of them even though the truth is that I'm killing myself little by little with what I am looking at. "You go home first, we still have somewhere to go." Blaze said the first words to me tonight. “f*****g asshole.” Diesel mutters. Carina stop him. “What did you just say?” Blaze is going to lunge towards Diesel and I stop him. “Ye—Yeah, you can go now.” he just looks down at me. “So dramatic.” Hannah roll her eyes on me. "Come on Corinne, we'll take you home." Carina snapped while holding my hand and giving Hannah and Blaze a deadly look. I turn around to face her, and tried my best to smile at her “You can go. I'm going to stay here because we still have a lot to do and fix inside." “Are you sure?” I nod “Yeah.” I turn around to face my husband and her mistress “I need to go.” Then walk away from them while my tears kept on falling.
