CHAPTER 100
ERIKA
When I figured out, I am locked inside this unfamiliar yet familiar at the same time room, I took the time to just wander around.
The room has its own bathroom, it has I think the same size as Mister Mayhem’s room also known as The Asshole. I decide that I will call it him that way, just at least in my mind.
There is also a massive built-in closet inside and it has full of beautiful and luxurious dresses and clothes, bags and shoes.
Whoever that “she” is, I thought she’s as rich as him and I thought she’s beautiful. Given by her choices of clothes.
After almost an hour, I think of just wandering and looking at anything around, I got tired. I tried to open the door again to no avail. I tried forcing it to open, but it was just a wishful thinking.
I sigh in defeat as I am heading back in the bed, maybe just to get some rest when the door burst open.
Leaning on the doorframe is The Asshole with nothing but a bat towel on his waist. He’s naked from his torso with a little bit of drops of water all over his body. His hair isn’t fixed, it’s also wet from the water. He looks—gorgeous.
No, don’t even think about it, Erika. I need stop f*****g drooling on this asshole who apparently my captor.
I scoffed “So, you locked me in here so you can just have a shower? You could just have your men watch over me.”
“Nah. I won’t test that chance and there’s just me and you in here.”
“What?” I swallowed hard. I don’t know why the thought of me being alone with him makes me more even nervous.
“It’s just me and you.” He starts walking inside the bathroom of this room and get an extra towel, and I find myself watching everything he does. He starts wiping off the water out of his hair, “—and I thought you wanted to take a shower too all for yourself.”
“I—I don’t have any clothes with me.” he’s right, I wanted to take a shower but I realized that i didn’t bring any clothes with me because he says so.
He looks on the direction of the built-in closet “You don’t want the clothes that is in there?” he sounds—sad? Defeated? Disappointed? I don’t know. Maybe I should just stop reading this man’s way of thinking.
“It’s—it’s not it. It wasn’t mine.”
“I told you, no one’s coming here to claim all those things even this room.” Sad. That’s it. I figured by the way he talks and his tone that he is in fact sad when he’s talking about “She”
“Who is she?”
“I think we should establish a rule.” He shrugs, obviously dodging the question.
“A rule?”
“Rule number one; Don’t ask me anything.”
“What? Why?”
“Don’t ask questions when you don’t want to dig deeper. Meaning don’t ask me something when all you wanted to do was to get out of this situation, because you aren’t. it’s better that way.” He growls.
I scoffed “That’s f*****g understatement.”
He put his huge arms around his chest and lean on the doorframe again, making him looks sexy, I thought.
“Does I turn you on?”
His question caught me off guard is it that obvious? f*****g f**k. “What?!”
He chuckles, and he looks sexier while wearing that smirk on his face “That’s what I thought.”
“Stop reading my mind.”
“Then you should stop reading mine too.”
I sigh in defeat; this f*****g cocky asshole is so infuriating. “Look, I have a four-year-old sister. And she’s sick all the time—”
“I will get it covered.” He says looking like money isn’t a big deal for him, but for me it is.
“What? No. that’s not what I meant.”
“Then what? By the looks of it, you are the only one working for your family. And I can see that your sick sister only relies on you.”
I sigh, he’s right. I am being held captive by this man for some unknown reason, and I know he’s rich as f**k, might as well enjoy the ride while it last. I sigh “Yeah, that and I am wondering if I can come visit her at least twice a week.”
“You told me about your job, your family, your sister. But you didn’t tell me this. Do you have a—” he’s having a hard time finishing his questions that made my anxiety rise up even more “—boyfriend?”
“I—I do.”
He took a deep breath “Interesting.”
“What? I told you, I have a life out of here. You can’t just keep me here forever. Nigel will come looking for me.”
“I dare him to f*****g try.” He growls. The tone of his voice changes that makes me scared and the hair on my skin crawl. “Take a shower, I keep this door lock until I can finally say that I can trust you.”
“Asshole—” I muter under my breath.
“Yeah, I didn’t claim that I am not.” My head snaps to his and rolled my eyes at him that seems to find him amusing. Because he smiles. “Once a week. I let you see your sister every Sunday, I will come with you, and you will be watched.” The he closes the door and locked it behind him.
But at least, I get to bargain for my sister.
