SONG FOR THIS CHAPTER: 13-LANY CHAPTER 12 BLAZE As soon as I hopped inside my Ferrari 250 California LWB Spider my phone blasted. But instead of being annoyed by its continuous blasting, it brought sweet smiles to my lips as I watched the name flashing repeatedly on the screen of my phone. Diesel. My ever so loving and sweet and f*****g loyal cousin. But if everyone can be fooled by him, I can't. Maybe the saying that you can smell or read your fellow demons is true. And Diesel? I've been reading him ever since he stepped foot in the mansion of Cosa Nostra 10 years ago claiming that someone killed his parents. When he came in to our lives, he’s far from Corinne who looks like she doesn’t belong in her own family, Diesel, despite the fact that he just lost his parents seems to be so comfortable that if you look at him closely, you’ll see that he’s far from being happy. I know, you think that I have my anxieties and I doesn’t trust easily, because I do. I don’t trust Marco Anthony “Diesel” Mayhem. He’s father is my father’s step-brother, a sign of their mother’s infidelity. When my grandfather didn’t take them under his wing, Gregory Mayhem became a troubled kid growing up, and ever since they left New York just like what my grandfather ordered them to, we hadn’t heard from them since. Not until, Diesel came knocking on our door in the middle of the night saying that his own parents were dead. One thing about Havoc Mayhem is you don’t get to leave your blood alone, no matter what’s the consequence is. He adopted Diesel and that rest is history. Sometimes I still feel that Father prefers Diesel to follow him in the position. Smart, hardworking, kind, sweet and charming. That's what most people think about Diesel, but I think differently about him. Very different. He’s like a f*****g wolf hiding into Dog’s fur. That’s what he is. At least to me. I ignored his call and immediately dialed the one of my trusted men; Matias. “Boss.” “I want you to investigate something for me, and I want you to keep this a secret as much as possible even to my Father.” I told him. “Count me in, Boss.” “I want you to investigate the death of Gian Marie Montgomery.” I looked at her school files that I tried very hard to get at the school registry. “I’ll sent you some additional details about her.” “Sure, Boss. Be back as soon as I get the job done.” “How many days can you do that?” “Give me three weeks, Boss.” I sighed, because three weeks is too long, but I know it was the best he can do given that Gian’s death vanished into thin air, like it didn’t even happen. Like she didn’t even exist. “Fine.” I know I shouldn’t bother making myself innocent into the eyes of Corinne. But I need to do this in order for her to trust me, in order for my plan to work. I drove to get home and tossed the key to the awaiting butler outside our house, ready for my car to be parked. As soon as I entered and entered the door, strong big hands shoved me to the wall, making the expensive vase shatter on the floor. But when I see the pair of piercing hazel green eyes, I suppress my laughter and my satisfaction at how angry he is. That’s it, Clown. Release you inner pennywise. “Did you f*****g touch her?” He growls. I smirk “Who?” Another shove, “You know who the f**k I am talking about!” He’s so mad that I can see his veins getting pop. I chuckle darkly that made him made even more “What is it to you if I f****d her?” “f**k you!” he was about to punch me in the face when he stops. “You know what, I get it now. I get it that she drives you crazy for years now. because who wouldn’t? Big perky t**s, that my palm wasn’t enough to squished and hold it.” I torment as if I am remembering the way she made me feel that night, because I am. “p***y so tight that I can f**k even if I die—” I wasn't even done with what I was saying, that earned me a punch on my face. But instead of being angry, I was so satisfied that I can see his anger now, that everything I do will be worth it. “Go on, you know how I love pain.” I smirk. “You’re f*****g crazy. Leave her alone.” “And you’re not?” “Am I what not?” He snaps. “Crazy.” He flinched, because he knows I get him there. “You know what’s funny, you’re in love with her just as much she’s in love with you.” I torment. “But guess what, I think not everyone’s lucky to get everything they want, aren’t they?” "Didn't you do enough for us three years ago? Huh, you f*****g psycho." “I didn’t do much, Diesel. And you know that. You weren’t supposed to touch what’s not yours, right? And who the f**k am I? Hmm?” I pressed. “I am the f*****g son of the prime leader of La Cosa Nostra. And you are? You’re just an orphan we took under our wings. f*****g know your place, Clown.” “What the f**k do you want from her?” “The same thing I want from her three years ago.” I shrug. “We both f*****g know that your intentions right now are different from your intentions three years ago.” “That so?” I smirk and wiped off the blood on my busted lip. “Guess you have to sit back and enjoy.”
