Chapter Veinte.

~Camari's P. O. V~

I woke up to the soft touch of my mother slowly caressing my cheek. Trying to nudge me awake.

[Mother: " Cam... Baby, wake up. We have a big day today, we need to thank the people who let us live here.

[Cam:" What time is it mum? "

[Mother:" It's a little passed seven baby. The Alpha really wants to speak with us immediately"

[Cam: "Okay, I'll wake up"

I rose from my bed and sat up. I reassured my mother that I would be fine getting dressed by myself.

I looked for one of my packed bags that Mark brought up for me and found some jeans. I tried them on but they were too painful to wear. I settled on my favourite pair of grey sweat pants. They were so much more comfier than jeans and they didn't rub where I was sore. I wore my black frilly top and trainers I just bought with Amber the day of Jason's birthday.

I met everyone downstairs, and Mark, as polite as ever was holding the door open suggesting we walk to the car so that he could drive us all to meet this Alpha.

The car ride there was unusually awkward. No one said a word. I didn't even speak. I had no idea what to say. We didn't drive for long as we pulled up outside a mansion about two minutes later.

Two people stood outside awaiting our arrival. Unmistakably the two people I was looking at was my Uncle Alfie and my Aunty Sandra, my dad's brother and sister-in-law. I bolted over to them hugging them both tightly.

[Camari: "Uncle Alfie, Aunt Sandra, Oh my goddess. I can't believe that it's you."

[Alpha Alfie: "Cam, as wonderful it is to see you. We have a lot to discuss."

[Luna Sandra: " Cam, sweetie. We need you and your family to come inside and sit with us and explain what has happened. Unfortunately until this matter has been resolved there is no time for formalities. "

I nodded my head and understood. I turned to my family and insinuated them to follow us in.

We walked into the massive mansion and followed my Aunt and Uncle to my Uncles office where we sat to discuss why we are here.

It all felt like a dream. As if I was reliving the horrors that had happened between Levi and Myself.

We talked for hours about every tiny detail. My mother had to explain what the doctor had told her. Amber and Jason explained how it wasn't like Levi to do anything like this.

My Aunt and uncle made Amber, Jason and myself leave the room. Speaking only to Laura and my mother.

We waited about 30 minutes before they came and asked us back in.

[Alpha Alfie: "You three are going to share a room here in the pack house. Linda and Laura will be returning to the house we assigned to them. It appears you will be significantly safer under our watchful eyes. No harm will come to any of you three under my care. However, there are rules. Linda tells me you may wish to Join my pack... We have spoken and we would like nothing more, but you will have to prove yourselves worthy. My pack will not tolerate weaklings and since you are now rogues you will have to train TWICE as hard as any other member to prove yourselves. All three of you. There is no special treatment here. You earn you stay. Now go and wait outside again. I'll have my son show you to your room."

We left the room once again wondering what else they had to talk about.

My uncle was quite scary. I've never been here before. I've only ever seen him at the lake house. He isn't in Alpha mode there, this was very unusual for me.

Not five minutes later a tall handsome dark headed boy walked over to us.

As soon as I saw his face I realised who it was.

[Camari: "THOMAS!! Thomas is that you?!"

I ran over to my eldest cousin, he picked me up twice as excited to see me and bear hugged me.

[Thomas: " Camie! Camie, it's so nice to finally see you again! Here follow me, I need to show you to your room. You two as well, come on! "

We walked down a huge corridor and up a few flights of stairs. Thomas showed us to our room. It was huge, it fit three double beds in it, there was a bay window as soon as you walked in, a double bed to each side of it and then in the very far corner on the right hand side a double bed against the wall. There were three wardrobes and two dressing tables and a joint bathroom on the right. It was brilliant. My bed was up against the wall of the bathroom so there was a little more privacy. I assumed Amber and Jason wanted the beds that were closest together.

[Thomas: "Come on little Cus, tell me what the hell have you been up to?"

[Camari: "Well Tommy, you do know why I'm here, we are here don't you?"

[Thomas: "Yes of course I do. I don't want to talk about that. I want my favourite little cousin to tell me how she met these friends of hers, what's going good in life?"

[Cam: "Well, aside from seeing you lot again nothing. We are here on the run... That is it"

[Thomas: " Cam, Camie... I'm sorry about your parents and everything. I'm sorry about your mate, but I miss my fiesty- bratty, kick-my-ass everywhere little cousin... Where is she?"

[Cam: " I'm sorry Tommy, I'm just not feeling myself anymore. Its just a lot to deal with right now. Give me time, I'll be back. You know nothing keeps me down. Where is everybody else anyway? Aunt Jackie and Uncle Anthony? What about the twins and Chloe? What about the other twins and Molly? Where are they? "

[Thomas: " Well, they are all actually at the lake house... I came back when dad told me what happened to you."

[Camari: " Oh Tommy, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to spoil your fun. You shouldn't have come back for me. "

[Thomas: " Camie, shut up. You're my little cousin and you were in danger. Of course I came back. All of us would have, except the others don't know. They've been told to come back here before the all go home. My guess is they'll find out then. "

[Camari: "Oh, well I'm sorry anyway."

[Thomas : " Nonsense Cam, come on give me a hug I have to get going"

We hugged it out for what seemed forever. Tommy always looked after me, ever since I was a baby. He left after saying goodbye to Jason and Amber.

[Amber: "Are you feeling any better Cam?"

[Cam: " Actually, yeah. I'm just glad I have you two if I'm honest. How are you guys doing?"

[Jason: "It's much better than I thought it would be. Cam, can I ask you something?"

[Cam: "Yeah... Of course"

[Amber: "Well, we couldn't help but notice... What did Thomas mean by... I'm sorry about your parents...?"

I decided to come clean. We were in this together now. This was the end of the line for any secrets we had been keeping from each other.

[Camari: "Please don't hate me okay. I haven't told you guys the truth because it wasn't really all my truth to tell.

My mother... Linda. She isn't my real mum, she is my mother's sister. The crash I got into where I got these scars on my arm, well they're from a car crash I got into with my actual parents... We were driving to the Lake house as Tommy mentioned and we crashed... They died. I woke up in hospital and Aunt Linda was there. She's my godmother. From then on she told me to call her mother, and she slapped me when I didn't... She started treating me so nicely as her daughter that... Well it stuck"

Amber and Jason's Jaws were hanging loose. Shocked wasn't the word to describe it.

[Amber: "Cam, wow"

[Jason: "So that's why you moved?"

[Amber: " She isn't your real mother?!!!"

[Camari: "Like I said... She treats me like a daughter, I didn't know what else to do."

[Amber:" She could have fooled me. No wait, she DID fool me. Cam, are you sure? She loves you so much... Like a mother to a daughter... What the hell? "

[Cam: "I'm sure. She's amazing she really is, but my parents... They were perfect."

The room went silent. The look on Amber's and Jason's faces made me feel sick. Sympathy.

[Camari: "Do you guys mind if I have a nap?"

[Amber: " No, we will unpack, you get some rest."

My eyes felt suddenly heavy... It must have only been about 9 in the morning. My body felt limp and I dozed off.
