But I hold it. For now. I hold it for her and it kills me, because I have to be quiet now. One wrong word and it can all go down bad. Keep it together, I remind myself again and again even when pure rage almost blinds me. Rage and f*ucking devastation. She should not see this. She should not have to hear these lies. She’s not built for a world where in the middle of the night people who are supposed to protect you come and take whatever they want away from you. This is not her world, it is mine.
