The lawyers continue to discuss and explain all the little details of the inheritance - about my monthly allowance, which is pretty nice compared even to my salary, not to mention other perks like always having groceries and bills paid. I can see the appeal. I can understand why someone would want such a life - never having to worry about money ever again, having money and influence, making sure you stay on top of the food chain instead of grinding all the damn time. With so much money in one’s disposition, I can understand Alejandro Montener’s greed and why he hates me this much.
And I am chained now. I am chained to him and to this place, and to everything I stand against. I don’t care about the money. I don’t care about the lands and the businesses and anything like this. Yet
