Rejection

~5 Years Later~

Today is my 18th birthday. I will be able to find my mate today, but that is not what I'm focused on. Right now, I’m inside a wolf-only bar tracking down one of the rogues that might have been a part of killing my pack and family.

The rogue spots me and gets up and walks outside, and right when I’m about to go after him, the smell of rain and cinnamon hits me. I frantically look around, and my eyes meet with dark brown ones.

My wolf Snow starts chanting 'Mate' in my head. I started to walk towards the brown-eyed mate of mine. As I get closer, I see something that sends my wolf f*****g raging.

'He let someone else mark him. That b***h is going to die.'

Snow is trying to take control. Why would he let someone else mark him? He should know that if you mark someone that isn't your mate, that you will never get a second chance if the chosen mate dies. Why didn't he wait for me? I walk up to my mate and am about to say something that will destroy me.

"What is your name and rank?"

"It’s Connor Anders Beta of Sky Pack. Why?" he answered, looking confused.

I take a deep breath in and out and say.

"I, Elise Amara, alpha of Silver pack, reject you Connor Anders of Sky pack, as my mate."

I can feel the pain and can hear Snow whimpering. Connor nods, understanding why I am doing this. He knows that he can never mark me, so he does the one thing that he knows is right.

"I, Connor Anders, accept your rejection."

After that, I turn around and go after the rogue. I tracked the rogue into the forest. He was standing next to a lake.

"Are you one of the rogues that attacked the royal pack?"

I asked him in my alpha voice that no wolf, not even rogues, could disobey.

"So what if I am, what are you going to do about it?"

He says, then shifts into a brown wolf. I follow suit and shift into my wolf form. My wolf looks similar to that of a Dalmatian with black spots on my white coat. The spots are only on my back and cover all of my paws. My eyes oh my beautiful eyes are the same as in human form. They are both a mix of bright green and blue. I have one other unique feature about my wolf. Right in the middle of my forehead there is a black crescent moon.

'He is scared shitless now let’s kill him'

Snow is always in the mood to kill rogues. I launched forward and bite down on the rogues' back. He manages to scratch me in the stomach and bit my back leg. But once he lets go, he realizes that he just pissed me the f**k off.

I growl, and it shakes the water and trees around us. Snow takes over and bites down on the rogue's neck. She shakes the poor guy so much that his head pops off. Snow drops the rogue's head then goes to a tree where I take back control.

I grab my bag and put it next to the lake. I jump into the lake and wash the blood off. Once I’m all clean, I put my clothes on and walk back to the bar.

I know what you are thinking ‘why go back to the bar where the mate you rejected is’. Well it’s because I kinda own the bar.

Oh, and also I kinda forgot to tell you what I look like in human form. Well besides my eyes, my hair is as dark as night. It goes down to my waist and is curly. I’m 5”4’ and very skinny people would think that I didn’t eat. My hourglass figure makes boys drool and my porcelain skin has some scars, but they were left by silver daggers or blades.

I enter the bar and walk up to my room and grab my bow. I went to a witch, and she made it to where it could transform into just a bow's handle. All I have to do when I need to use it is toss it in the air, and it will go back to being a bow.

I put the bow on the back of my belt and braid my hair into one braid. I then head down and get to work serving drinks and some bar food. Every wolf or rogue comes here and sometimes other creatures, but never humans.

My bar is called Silver Rose Bar. It’s located in a town right in the middle of two packs. Yep, one is called Sky pack where my rejected mate is beta and the other is called Crescent Moon pack. Crescent Moon is the strongest pack in the world now that the royal pack is gone.

The alpha of Crescent Moon is said to torture and kill people who betray him and also rogues.

'Maybe that alpha will come and help us track down and kill the rogues that destroyed our home.'

'No Snow we need to do this on our own that alpha never even knew the royal pack'

After I told her that Snow blocked me out, 'What the hell is her problem?' I thought as I started cleaning the counter.

Right as I was finishing cleaning, someone growled, and it was most likely an alpha because everything around us shook. Everyone around except rogues, wolves with alpha blood and myself barred their necks in submission.

My waitresses were so scared they dropped the trays they were holding. I just sighed and shook my head, grabbing some towels and the mop. I handed the waitresses the towels and then told them to clean it up. They did as told and started cleaning.

Right when I was about to go upstairs to punch my punching bag, Snow started going crazy again. The doors to my bar were broken as a grey wolf was thrown through them. A black wolf with gold and silver eyes jumped on the grey wolf who was a rogue. I let out a menacing growl and yelled.

"If you are going to fight, then don’t include my bar in it! Now get the f*****g hell out of here!" The rogue practically jumped back outside with its tail between its legs. The black wolf, on the other hand, just stared at me. That’s when I saw it. The wolf had a white crescent moon in the middle of its forehead.

A guy came in and handed a bag to the black wolf. The wolf went to the bathroom probably to get dressed. I yelled at the staff to clean up the mess.

'Elise, don’t you smell that!'

Snow exclaimed. So I just smelled the air and that’s when I smelt it. It smelled like the forest mixed with vanilla. Snow started purring in my head.

'No it can’t be. Did the moon goddess actually do this for us, Snow?'

'Yes, yes she did we have a new mate. We get a second chance!'

As Snow says that she was jumping up and down. I waited outside the bathroom for my new mate to come out. When he opened the door, everything froze, and it was just the two of us.
