Christine frowned repeatedly and looked away from Robert.
"I thought I told you to wait for me when we close for school". Arthur appeared out of nowhere scaring the hell out of Christine but she controlled it and instead she scoffed.
"What do you want Arthur".
"I think you're kind of getting addicted to the word. What do you want Arthur". Arthur mimicked her voice and Christine rolled her eyes.
"Why would you think I would wait for you anyway. What makes you think I'd wait for an arrogant peacock like you".
"Watch your words. It could
burn you. Cause it looks like your Superman would not be here to save you". Arthur pointed at Gareth who was now talking to Carolyn.
Christine didn't know why but she immediately felt hurt. Gareth didn't mind her getting angry and not talking to him. He doesn't even notice she is not present beside him like she had always been. Is it true what people say about friendship. She masked up her feeling. She wasn't going to let Arthur think he had broken her defense.
**************
Gareth looked away from Christine and Carolyn appeared in front of his desk. "What do you want Carolyn I am currently busy now".
Carolyn hissed. "I am here for business. Is Christine still ignoring you for what happened in the morning".
Gareth sighed. "That's none of your business Carolyn. If you don't have any other thing to say please move away".
"See, it's not like I want to be here. I just feel guilty that's all. Don't make me regret coming here to meet you".
"Oh gee. That helped alot but I'm sorry to say. I don't really need your condolences. So please move away".
Carolyn sighed. "Okay but I just wanted to let you know. I really appreciated you helping me yesterday and you driving me to school. It really meant a lot".
Gareth smiled. "You didn't seem appreciative when you woke up in my house. You didn't seem appreciative when I drove you in my car. So what changed. But just so you know. It wasn't anything and I accept your thank you. But don't think I reprimanded Christine because of you. I just did what I felt was right".
"Oh gee. I know that. I know it did not have anything to do with the fact that she denied you of being her boyfriend right".
Gareth scoffed. "What exactly are you here for. Are you here for a pep talk about relationships or what. Cause I will have you know. I do not need your help on how to go on my relationship. It's none of your business".
"Ok ok ok, you got me fighter but just a little advice from this girl.
Take a look at Christine. She's not happy but she is trying to hide it. Now be the man and go meet her. Be the first to apologise for something you are not guilty about. And I am one hundred percent sure she will definitely apologize back. If you know Christine like you prove to, You should probably know. She does not like to be the wrong one. And neither does she like to apologise first for what ever mistakes she makes. Either she's the guilty one or not. None of that matters to her. Cause she does not like to agree she is wrong. So stand up and stop being jealous of a mere new comer".
Carolyn finished her pep talk making Gareth look at her on awe.
"Please tell me you don't have something you are planning. And to get a perfect shot you need me and Christine together. Cause I don't expect you to care about whatever happens to Christine or not. I expected you to be very happy Christine got hurt but I guess that the saying is true. Don't judge a book by its cover".
Carolyn smirked. "Yeah but in books they are different pages filled with different chapters. So I'd rather say read a book before you judge. You never know if I have something really up my sleeves". With that Carolyn turned around and left. Leaving Gareth confused and unsure of what she meant. Did she mean she really had something up her sleeve. Some terrible plan that involved him and Christine making up and back to being close friends. The girl was as weird as a..... Gareth stopped talking when he noticed the new guy sneaking away from Christine and Arthur who were arguing. Where the hell was the guy going or rather. Why was the guy sneaking away. Christine and Arthur didnt seem to notice him sneaking.
He decided to follow him. Maybe the guy took something from Christine. He really never liked him the first time he saw him. And maybe this was the reason. He shaked his head. No Gareth. You don't like him because he took Christine's attention away from you. And now you are saying maybe he took something away form Christine. Snap out of it Gareth. You are not like this. But oh well. There is no harm in following him. Is there. So he decided then and there. He was going to follow him.
Carolyn sat back down in her seat. She was really feeling guilty for making Gareth and Christine fight. If she hadn't agreed to take a ride with Gareth then all this wouldn't have happened. She might hate Christine but she didn't hate Gareth. Gareth was nice and caring unlike Christine who only cared for herself and the people she felt like caring for . The girl was so proud and arrogant. No wonder Arthur took her as a daily stress reliever. She looked back at Gareth seat but he wasn't there. She looked at Christine and she seemed to be stuck in her own thought. Even if Christine tried to hide it. She could clearly see. The girl was missing Gareth's company.
