Chapter 4

Alie

~ I was so mad at her! How could she keep this … what ever this was from me!!! I paced around my room kicking my small garbage bin to the other side of the room. I was furious at her, how did she expect me to be okay leaving with this man I’ve never even met before. Yes he was cute and I felt a pull to him for some reason but that doesn’t mean I want to leave my mother behind and run off with him. Who’s Alpha and who names their child that?

I had so many questions but I knew wasn’t going to get any answers unless I went up there and asked them. I flopped back onto my bed. After everything that happened tonight with Chris now this it feels like everything has been turned upside down in just a short few hours. I grabbed my face and pulled my hands down making a silly face. I felt defeated and wanted to sleep but some how worked up the energy and courage to walk up stairs.

“So who wants to tell me what’s going on?!” I asked placing my hands on my hips. It came out a bit more demanding then I had intended.. is he laughing at me?

“What’s so funny?” I directed at the unknown man sitting in my kitchen. The same man that threatened to take me with him and chased me back to my house. The man that my mother so willingly let in here.

“You little wolf, you are funny” he said laughing again. Why does he keep calling me that?!

I just rolled my eyes at him. “I’m not your little .. wolf and are you going to answer my question? Why are you kidnapping me? Why are you okay with it? “ the last question directed at my mother.

“Sweet heart, there are things that I have kept from you. Things about who you really are and where you come from. I did it to protect you from some one from my past. I wanted the best life possible for you and for you to be safe. I really wanted to tell you years ago but I couldn’t bring my self to” she was pacing around I could tell this was hard for her. “you seemed so happy with this life and … I hoped that my brother would have forgotten about the promise we made and I could keep you to my self.”

“Why and who are you keeping me safe from, mom I don understand” I said starting to get more upset but before I could continue she cut me off.

“Alie my sweet girl, there’s an evil man who killed members of your family once he heard of you and what you are. He attacked your father, your father was trying to protect you and once he knew you father had ran it made him even more mad. Raphael the alpha of blood moon wolf pack and I made and agreement to keep you safe I asked him that if you survived till your 18th birthday that he come get you and teach you about our ways and protect you.”

“Wolf…???” I started but she just put up her hand to stop me.

“We are werewolves, decedents of the moon goddesses, well we are all made from the moon goddess but our blood line come directly from her. She is your great great great grandmother. You see we are the strongest wolf blood line out there and because of that this dangerous man wanted you for him self, I’m assuming he still does even though it’s been years now and no word had come from him.” She finally sat down in her rocking chair looking defeated “ I can’t protect you for ever my love and now that you are almost of age he may strike and try to take you for.” Before she could finish a wolf jumped threw the living room window right on top of my mother ripping her throat out. Everything went silent after that. I remember the strange man grabbing me yelling at me to move, but all I could to was stand there staring at my mother. I heard growling from a few different wolves but all I could see was my mother being murdered right in front of me. Her eyes looking lifeless and blood covering her chest as her skin began to pale. I felt strong hands grab my waist and throw me over his shoulder and then everything went black… ~

Raffy

~ I must admit being this close to Alie was hard, I could see that she was crying before and I wanted so badly to wrap her in my arms and comfort her. I knew I couldn’t but my wolf was going crazy seeing her in this state. Her mother was being vague but some of the information was useful. Ryan… Ryan ? I repeated the name a few times to myself, Was she talking about Ryan the vampire king? It was a big leap to assume him because no one heard from him in years, there are still vampire attacks but less common now that humans had cell phones and most streets had cameras. vampires can’t see their reflection and also can’t be in the sunlight but they can still be caught on video. Vampires rarely attacked us wolves as a bite from a wolf could be deadly to a vampire so humans where sadly the most hunted.

Suddenly there was a crash and before I could do anything janes throat was ripped out right in front of us. s**t how had I not heard them coming. It was a rouge I could tell just by the disgusting stench coming from him. I had been so lost in my own thoughts,you i***t my wolf said an I agreed.

Alie was just standing there I could sense that there was more of them circling the house. At least 3 more, the rouge was standing on all fours admiring his work and turned his attention to Alie, I yelled at her to move but she didn’t she just stood there. “Alie run” still nothing. I quickly grabbed her and threw her over my shoulder she must have fainted cause I could feel her body had gone limp.

Kicked the front door open and of course there was rogues there waiting for me, they didn’t seem like very strong rouges, they were small an I knew my wolf was easily 3 times bigger. I looked around quickly knowing I couldn’t fight them with Alie, if I ran to my left fast enough I could jump over that fence and run to the hotel were Nick could help me …. where my weapon were. How could I leave and not bring my weapons with me I groaned. This wasn’t like me I always brought a gun or knife with me.

I took a chance I ran as fast as I could to my left and jumped up and over the fence. I ran four blocks to the hotel barged in I threw alie on the bed.

“What the f*** is going on” Nick said jumping out of bed.

“Quick there are rouges right behind me” I yelled searching for my bag.

Before I could explain further 2 rouges has busted into the room this time in their human form.

“Well well what do we have here” one spoke “put your self in a little box, making it easier for us to play” he continued smirking.

“Not going to happen rouge” I said finally eyeing my bag behind him on the table, s**t I thought. Quickly I let my wolf out and lunged at him clamping my canines into his shoulder bringing him to the ground. The second rouge was suddenly in wolf form and on top of me his claws ripping into my back. I howled out in pain but refused to let go of the first rouge. Nick grabbed the rouge from on top of me and threw him across the room. Nick changed into his wolf quickly getting on top of the rouge and ripped his throat out. I looked down and smiled “see not so easy” I smirked before head butting the rouge under me knocking him out.

“Why didn’t you kill him?” Nick said from behind me.

“I have to question him and ask why he attacked Alie and killed her mother.” I said trying to catch my breath. Nick just looked more confused “ I’ll explain later”

I looked over and Alie was sitting up rocking back n forth holding her knees, I tried to walk over to her but she curled her self up looking afraid of me.

“Don’t be afraid little wolf, I won’t hurt you I promise.” I tried to walk closer to her but she just closed her eyes as if waiting for me to kill her. I scooped her up and hugged her, she tensed up at this. my wolf was worried and so was I, I hope she will be okay.

“You need to sleep little wolf, I’ll explain all this in the morning. I’ll protect you” I was rocking her like a baby in my arms trying my best to make her feel better. After a what felt like and eternity she relaxed and fell asleep. I laid her on the bed and tried to move away from her but she tightened her grip on my arm not letting me go. She can feel the pull she will soon know she is our mate. my wolf was satisfied and I hardened at the dirty thoughts that crossed my mind of what I wanted so badly to claim her as mine.

Nick had tied up the rouge placing a heavy silver chain on him to prevent him from escaping. Silver burned wolves and if used as a weapon in the right way it will kill us. A witch who worked with our alpha had created an antidote years ago but not always did wolves make it back to the pack to take it before the silver poisoning killed them.

“I’ll question him in the morning, for now get some rest. Looks like this mission just got more intense and we will need our strength” i said to Nick almost whispering so I didn’t wake Alie. It wasn’t long after that I had fallen asleep my self. ~
