Chapter 2

Alie

~ ughhh I groaned as I fell back on to my bed, I had tried on more outfits then I could count. nothing looked or felt right on me, I wanted to look cute but I also didn’t want to draw to much attention. Not that I though I would, I hardly seen any boys turned their head to me anyways. I was a bit thicker then the other girls at school not quite shaped the same as most. I never had a boy friend either, I never really tried to have one though I didn’t need the distraction. I got up digging threw my pile of clothes again, I guess I’ll wear this teal silk type material dress. it was kinda dressy, low cut spaghetti strap and showed of my breast a little with out showing to much at the same time. It was a bit short and had an open back. I paired it with some hoop earrings a choker necklace teal to match and quickly braided the top half of my long hair an put on a bit of make up. I looked at my self in the mirror and was satisfied. . This dress accentuated my hips and waist making my hourglass shape show nicely. “Not to bad” I said to my self.

BUZZZZ my phone went off making me jump,

*~ I’ll be there in 2 minutes meet me outside ~* Kasey had texted.

I threw on a pair of black heels and met her out side. She had a car, her dad had gotten a car for her 16th birthday. As I walked out side Kesey whistled at me,

“Omg look at you” she shouted shocked when she seen me.

“What? is it to much?” I asked turning a bit red. Tempted to run back in side and throw on a sweater n pants.

“No you look amazing I’ve never seen you in a dress, you should wear it more often” she winked at me.

We set off to the party.

We arrived it was Chris the jocks house he was pretty popular, a star foot ball player. His family was rich rich and happened to be away for work so he decided to have a party.

I have to say I was amazed at the house when I walked in, I don’t usually go to parties Kasey and I usually hung out at her house or mine but I wanted to enjoy the last few months I had with her before leaving. She was going to queen’s university and I was going to loyalist collage. It would be the first time in almost 4 years I would have to make new friends and not have my best friend around.

Kesey was always bugging me to go to parties with her “loosen up Alie, enjoy yourself” she would say but I never wanted to I was content just having her as my friend. She was so happy when I agreed to go this time. I must admit this house was like a dream though… chandeliers , fancy artwork and a huge curved staircase leading upstairs. It was like something out of a magazine and this was just the front entrance. Kesey grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the kitchen clearly she knew where she was going.

“Here drink this” she handed me a bottle of beer then grabbed one for her self. “Let’s go dance” she said happily dragging me along with her.

I’m not a good dancer so I just followed Kasey swayed my hips and threw my arms up when she did sipping on my drink. Suddenly I felt a presence behind me…

“I don’t think I’ve seen you before” he said wrapping his arm around my waist from behind.

“Don’t touch me” I said in a shocked voice turning around to face him. I was taken back when i seen it was Chris looking back at me.

“No way it’s you” he said kinda surprised “you look so … so sexy, why don’t you wear things like this more often” he said with a smirk placing his hand on my hips pulling me closer to him. I could tell he was a bit drunk I smelled it and he had troubles getting his words out clearly.

“The booze has clearly altered your vision” I giggled and pulled away from him.

“Wait” he said grabbing my wrist and pulling back to him “have a dance with me first”

I just looked down at my feet awkwardly “I’d rather not” I said and turned walking away. I hated attention being on me. I looked back to see if Kesey was following me but she was dancing with Luke to distracted to notice what happened so I slipped away.

I had just gotten out side when all of a sudden I got that weird pain again only this time I fell to my knees gripping my stomach letting out a howl? Did I really just howl? What the heck was that.

Raffy

~ we set off in my car driving towards the city it would take us an hour to get there. Nick and I didn’t make small talk which was fine with me.

I couldn’t help think about this human, why was she so important that he would risk breaking his own rule to retrieve her. Alie willow, There has to be something I’m missing. The file was thick and I didn’t care to read it all. The pages I did read just stated typical stuff. Her school home town the places she had lived her mothers name… the name sounded familiar but I couldn’t remember why. Jane willow, where had I heard that name before. Then it hit me willow was the last name of the mad king.

Was Jane his daughter, relative ? Does that mean that this human is a wolf? So many questions but I didn’t want to assume anything. Damn I should have read that file. I smacked the steering wheel making Nick jump.

“What!?” He barked jumping to attention.

“It’s nothing” I waved at him.

“A little warning next time would be nice” he said rolling his eyes.

“I’m your beta you’ll respect me” I sneered

“Sorry beta” he said sarcastically before laughing

“What’s so funny?”

“How serious you are. You need to get laid” he said laughing more now.

“I’m not going to f**k some w***e I’m waiting for my mate” I barked back to him a little more whinny then I had intended.

“You’ll find her he said” reassuring me “sorry man didn’t mean to upset you, but you need to relax. Your really tense lately”

I didn’t respond to him but he was right. I was 24 and still hadn’t found my mate, most of the guys had found theirs already and even had pups on the way. The ones who didn’t have a mate were satisfied by the whores of our pack and other establishments… I envied the ones who had, wanting my own family. I could feel my wolf smiled at the idea of a mate.

“We’re here grab you weapons and let’s go” I said to Nick. We got out of the car and knocked on the door of her house. Her mother I assume answered.

“No not yet she not even 18 yet” she pleaded with a pained look on her face.

“I’m just following orders” I stated “how did you know we were coming?” I questioned

“My brother alpha Raphael and I agreed that he would take her when she was 18 to show her the ways of our kind, but I regret making him that promise. She doesn’t know she’s a wolf I never told her.” She paced around looking more worried.

“You mean to tell me you’ve kept her around humans? Do you know how unsafe that is!?” I barked at her.

She cowered “I’m sorry i took precautions, I just couldn’t bring my self to tell her. I wanted her to be happy and normal and not have to worry about her family’s past. I thought I could keep her away… safe” she stated. She was crying now. s**t why was I always so stern. I grabbed my face sighed and said I was sorry.

“Is it okay if we come in?” I asked

“She’s not here he’s at a party. Maybe come back in 3 days time she will be 18 then and it will give me time to tell her my self before you take her away.” She had stopped crying but was still shaken up.

“I don’t have 3 days Raphael has requested I bring her back in time for the moonlight ball” She started sobbing again. Damn why was she so emotional. “I can wait till morning but no longer” I said and turned to leave.

“Thank you” was all I heard before we got back into my car.

Had she really not told her daughter about any of it? She really was related to the mad king. How had I not known my alpha had a sister or that my alpha was the mad kings son? This was all more n more confusing. We reached a hotel and I booked us a room for the night. I vowed to get answers tomorrow and tried to get some rest.
