Chapter 5

"Now what the hell do you think you're doing here??" They both jumped at hearing the extremely angry growl. They both looked up and saw Ken. "Do you mind? We were about to kiss but you ruined it." Eliza said with a serious face. "You kissed HIM and on OUR bench??" Ken scoffed loudly. "What, am I not good enough to find someone who likes me and genuinely cares about me?" Eliza asked. Ken took a deep breath. "Eli, you are too good for him. He doesn't care about you. He just cares about your body. That man has slept with at least half the pack by now, ``Ken stated calmly. Eliza turned to look at Eric in shock. "Part of that is true. I have slept with about 75% of the females here, I admit. But I will not allow anyone to say I don't genuinely care about you little bunny. If I only wanted your body I would have taken it by now." Eric explained, waiting with bated breath for her response.

"If you cared so much about me, since when? Since I grew up physically?" Eliza asked, not wanting to believe his words. Eric shook his head." I have loved you from the moment I laid eyes on you. As we got older, I knew I could never measure up to Ken in anything, let alone your heart. But when I saw Ken abandon you, I stepped up to your side hoping you would give me a chance…. " Eric said. " If you've liked me for so long, why wait until now? You could have asked me out any time. I never have nor would I ever turn you down." Eliza said in a whisper, holding back tears, leaning onto Eric for a kiss. Eric was shocked at her response, but he got over it quickly when he felt her lips against his. Eric put his hands on her waist, deepening the kiss. As the two were kissing, Ken finally snapped. "Enough, Eli, I'm taking you home" he said in his Alpha voice, grabbing her and throwing her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

Kicking and hitting Ken, she tried to get him to put her down. "Ow Ken, you're hurting me." She whimpered. "I'm not letting you run away from me this time." Ken growled. "I'd never run away from you, please put me down and carry me in a different way. This really hurts and my whole butt is exposed! She shouted. Realizing that last bit, he looked over, surely to see her dress pulled up to her stomach and her whole butt and legs were exposed. He immediately put her down so she could straighten her dress. "Why didn't you just tell me to begin with that your butt was exposed?" Ken growled. Because I was more concerned about the pain I was in than the embarrassment of being exposed." She huffed, pouting.

I'm sorry I let my anger take over. How would you like me to carry you since your dress is so short," Ken asked. Eliza only smirked as she stood up to wrap her arms around his neck and used some of her wolf strength to jump high enough to wrap her legs around his waist. "Hold me so I don't fall!!" She said quickly. Ken subconsciously grabbed her butt to hold her up, only to realize he was touching her bare bottom. Ken tried to face away so she couldn't see his face turn red. "Um…. But I'm touching you… not that I'm complaining…. I'm just touching your bare butt right now to hold you up" he said Shyly. " Oh right, your girlfriend might have a problem with this. I'll get down" Eliza said. As she tried to get down, Ken only squeezed her butt harder, pulling her more towards himself. "Don't you dare get down " he growled. His eyes turning a brighter blue color made Eliza chuckle. " Hi Jack. It's been awhile." She laughed. I won't get down, so please loosen your grip, you're going to bruise me,and I won't be able to sit!" She pouted at him. Realizing how much strength he was using, he quickly loosened his grip.

"I really don't want to get between you and Alice, so please, this is the last time," Eliza said as she watched his eyes turn back to normal. Ken just looked down in defeat and couldn't say anything, not for a few more years. "Everything isn't as it seems, my little fox. One day I can explain, but until then please just trust me." Ken whispered in her ears so nobody else could hear. She still had blocked his mindlinks, so he couldn't use them. Once they got to the packhouse, Ken set her down so they could walk in normally. As light showed on her body, Ken noticed she had bruising. On her arms across and her back. "Again. Eli I'm sorry. I couldn't control my wolf. I didn't mean to bruise you so much" he said in a sad tone. " I don't understand why kissing my partner would make you so mad. I'm not yours, and you are even with someone else," Eliza responded coldly. "You are right. And it's not the act of kissing that set me off. It was with whom you were kissing. Just not him. Anybody else. Please just not Eric." Ken responded softly. " Good night" Eliza waved as she entered the beta quarters and got ready for bed.
