Chapter 2

The relationship between Ken and Eliza only became more estranged after that night. The following morning Eliza got up and got ready to go to morning training. She stopped by Ken's room only to discover he had left an hour before she even woke up. Normally, Ken would wait and they would go to the training grounds together. Eliza had no idea what was going on. "Was Ken really that upset with me?" Eliza asked her wolf Tia." I'm sorry I don't know sweetie, I can't even reach out to his Wolf Jack. They completely closed themselves off to everyone. "

Eliza felt a pain she couldn't quite describe. Eliza walked into the kitchen seeing Mary all smiles making pancakes. Eliza couldn't even stomach the thought of eating right now, so she just headed to the training grounds hoping to see Ken somewhere. Eliza didn't understand what was going on but Ken was nowhere to be found. Eliza went on with her 3 hour training like usual. First she ran around the track for an hour until the other girls showed up. Once the girls started doing their warmups, Eliza would go to the training instructor and spar with him in human form, since she was too strong to spar with the others, for the next hour. As the girls were trickling back from their warm-up, Eliza dismissed herself and started her cool down and shower to get ready for school. Last year Ken usually waited for her to come out and walk her to school, but today she was alone.

She missed the contents of her first class, looking out the window dazed, thinking of what she saw and his reaction after. She remembered his slightly damp hair messed up, his Sapphire blue eyes, and especially his abdomen, with a fine definition of his V imprint into his towel almost not covering him. She could feel heat rise, until she shook her head to clear her mind. "Ken is absolutely breathtaking with an amazing body, why does he think he is deformed or different from the rest?" Eliza asked Tia. "I don't know but I for sure want him. It took everything to hold back my lust", Tia responded. This distance between Eliza and Ken grew farther and farther away as days,weeks,months even passed by until Eliza's first day at High School, where Ken would have to run into her. She missed him so much, he had stayed away from her since that incident. She missed the bond that they had. She couldn't even remember what he smelled like.

Over the time they were apart, Eliza grew up in many ways. She was now 5'4" with long silver hair and pink undertones. Her ruby-red eyes glistened with her black eyeshadow. She wanted to make sure she looked perfect. Today she wasn't leaving anything to chance. Eliza would finally see Ken today. Eliza argued over the rest of her appearance with Tia until they finally came to an agreement. She loosely curled her hair, put on black lipstick to match her eyeshadow, and her outfit. This was the part that took a lot of time mulling over. Finally, she pulled out her dark blue dress, the same color as Ken's wonderful eyes. The main problem was her growth in unexpected areas. There wasn't much that she could hold in her chest. The dress hugged her curves perfectly, and pleated out at the bottom almost halfway down her thighs. She put on her black and blue striped thigh high socks, securing them with a garter belt. Last thing was her shoes. Tia chose a pair of black boots with a 4" heel to make her just a bit taller. Taking one last look at herself in the mirror, she grabbed her things and headed out for school.

This school was completely different from what anyone could imagine. There were so many cute guys, and some seriously hot girls. "Maybe he found someone, that's why he…" Tia cut her off before she could finish. "Even if he did, that is no excuse to avoid us like that. He had better have a good excuse for this," Tia growled. As Eliza walked to her first class she could feel a bunch of stares setting her on edge. When she entered the classroom, she found a seat close to the front. She was determined to get a perfect GPA. While waiting for the teacher, Eliza scanned the room casually smiling at the males staring and drooling over her. Eliza turned her head to the far back corner. There she saw a girl who had Long Curly Raven black hair, with Blood Red undertones. She was a little taller than Eliza, maybe 5'8", but what really stood out was her sparkling emerald green eyes. She was extremely beautiful, but didn't seem familiar. That girl must be new to the pack, Eliza thought. "That girl gave me the Willie's," Tia growled. "I don't get a good feeling from her either," Eliza agreed.

As class ended and Eliza was walking out, she noticed Ken standing by the door waiting. As she was about to call out to him, the new girl ran into her and completely knocked her over, falling on top of Eliza. "Alice! Watch out!" Ken yelled as he grabbed at the new girl to steady her. Eliza now sprawled on the floor just looking at Ken dumbfounded. "Are you okay babe?" Ken asked Alice. As Alice nodded her head sheepishly, Ken snarled at Eliza "Watch it." Ken, with his arm around Alice's waist, walked off to take her to her next class, as Alice looked back glaring mischievously towards Eliza.Heading in the same direction Eliza realized they had the same class again. "Great, do you have her in every class??" Tia growled in annoyance. "I sure hope not," Eliza replied coldly.

During lunch break Eliza saw Ken and Alice in the far corner cuddled up to each other. Distracted, Eliza walked right into a sturdy chest. When Eliza looked up she realized she had walked into Eric with his group of guys, trying to start a conversation with her. "Since Ken won't pay you any mind, we might as well flirt with these handsome fellas." Tia chuckled. Taking her wolf's suggestion, Eliza found herself sitting with the guys talking about classes and teachers. As lunch ended, all of the guys handed Eliza their phone numbers so they could chat later.

Ken noticed Eliza was alone and Alice was in the bathroom, casually walking by. "So, who were those guys? Your new boyfriend?" Ken growled with jealousy towards Eliza. She took one look at him and just scoffed as she walked off to catch up with Eric for him to walk her to her next class. As Ken tried to reach for her, he saw Alice walking out of the bathroom and quickly withdrew his hand. He looked towards Eliza and Eric with a pained expression. "Just let it go, she will come to understand." Jack tried to comfort Ken. "Everything will end as it's supposed to, we have to stay strong and deal with this task." Rex added. "Right. For her. All for Eliza", all three agreed. As the day ended, Ken couldn't get an opportunity to try to talk to Eliza.

Later that night, after dinner, Ken tried to reach out to Eliza, but got no response. Jack tried to reach out to Tia, but they were both ignored. "I guess we deserve this. We never had a chance to discuss it with her." Ken and Jack agreed. We have to find out what Alice is up to. There is a strange and evil familiarity about her" Rex interrupted. "For the good of the pack. As the future Alpha we need to protect them. "
