Having Dale around felt good for Scarlett. She didn't have many friends, so she welcomed him with open arms when he acted like one. He was around constantly, helping Scarlett with whatever she needed. She was getting to know him all over again because not seeing him for a while, made him seem like a stranger, but at the same time, he felt familiar.
