66. A Mistake

Scarlett felt like she was living someone’s life. She wanted to wait a few more years before considering having a baby, but life came full speed to her. Sitting, or rather lying by the poolside at Jacob’s house, had become one of Scarlett’s favorite things to do. Scarlett was living her best life: sunscreen on, shades on, bikini on, round belly out. It couldn’t get any better than that. The only thing that was missing was a glass of chocolate milk and she was too lazy to get it. Jacob had to go to work because one of the bakers called in, telling him she would be absent due to a family emergency. With no hesitation, Jacob told her to sort out her business.
