When Tony told Jacob that they were going to have drinks, he didn't know that it was a way to lure Jacob to the party that Katrina had planned. To say he was surprised, would be an understatement, because those two didn't get along at all. He knew his friend very well, and so, it was obvious to Jacob he had forgotten his birthday.
Jacob didn't feel bad about it, because frankly, he had forgotten his own birthday too. It wasn't that he didn't celebrate it, but he wasn't too keen on doing so. He would normally buy himself a bottle and relax at home after work. Tony knew, which was why Jacob had agreed to the drinks invitation.
Jacob should have known something was up when he didn't see Katrina at home. They didn't live together on his last birthday, but she usually tried to go over to his place and did everything she could to will him to her s*xual favors.
It worked for him, because instead of going out to find someone to satiate his needs, Katrina presented herself for him to do as he pleased.
"Happy birthday again." Tony said, clinking his glass with Jacobs'.
Jacob sipped his drink and watched as everybody in the VIP section chatted. He was grateful, though there was something else he would rather be doing at the moment.
Instead of celebrating his birthday with these people, and Katrina, who couldn't keep her hands off his knees, which was a silent gesture for what was to come at the end of the night, he would rather be deep inside a certain redhead.
He acted like their last and only encounter didn't bother him, but it did. He couldn't forget the way her p*ssy had gripped the life out of his c*ck, the way her lips were partly opened, gasping as he thrust hard inside her, the way her n****e*s pebbled whenever he brushed his fingertips past them. He was getting hard just thinking about it. He shifted in his seat to hide his arousal.
"I'm gonna go now." Tony said, bringing Jacob out of the very dirty thoughts he was having about Scarlett. It was all he could think about after that night.
He might have implied that she was a w***e by reminding her that he was paying her for the night, but he knew she wasn't anything like that. A wh*re wouldn't have p*ssy as tight as hers. If Jacob didn't know any better, he would have thought Scarlett was a virgin.
"I'll see you later." He bumped fists with Tony, who walked away.
He turned around in his chair and watched Tony walk to someone who was very familiar with him. In fact, that someone was the person responsible for stirring up his thoughts.
He raked his eyes over her body. She was sitting at the bar, looking like she owned the f*cking place. Jacob knew she was dancing earlier, but he didn't even spare a glance in her direction, because if he did, he might have humiliated Katrina in the worst way possible.
He would have grabbed Scarlett, turned her around and bent her over, ripped whatever flimsy piece of costume she was wearing, and f*ck her till her knees were weak.
Jacob turned around before she saw him, not that she would notice. She had her attention solely on Tony. It was obvious something was going on between them. Maybe she had a thing for Tony. Tony was a playboy, but Jacob could admit that he had the looks to charm women out of their pantie*s.
He tried to focus on the conversation happening before him, but all Jacob had on his mind was what Scarlett and Tony were talking about for so long. He had peeked over his shoulders and noticed that they were still at the bar.
'You i***t, she works for him. Remember? They could be talking about work stuff. And he said she was a good friend to him.' Jacob sighed. Maybe he was becoming insane.
Katrina stood and walked to the center of the VIP platform. Jacob knew she was about to give a speech. Maybe he could use this as an opportunity to make Scarlett stay away from him because he didn't seem to want to stay away from her.
Despite telling himself that he only went to the club because Tony had invited him for drinks, he was really kidding himself. Jacob knew Scarlett would be there. He felt like a stalker.
"I want to wish my fiance a happy birthday. You're everything that I could ever want in a man and I'm happy to have you standing by my side. I love you so much. I want to thank everyone for coming out to celebrate with us." The music wasn't too loud, which was why Jacob could appreciate the club.
Katrina said as she looked at Jacob lovingly. Anyone on the outside looking in would definitely think that she was a loving fiance. Well, technically she was. She loved money.
But as Jacob thought about it, it was the perfect plan. He hoped she would call him up so he could face the bar and Scarlett could see him. He had something in mind, but hoped he didn't regret it later.
It was as if Katrina read his mind, because she called him up as soon as he thought about it. He put on his best smile and walked to where Katrina was standing. He hugged her sideways and turned in Scarlett's direction.
Jacob acted as if he was shocked to see her there. He couldn't let her know that he knew of her presence. It had to look like she didn't matter to him. He did notice the disappointed look on his best friend's face. Disappointed in whom? Jacob didn't know.
He took that moment to really look at Scarlett with her clothes on. She was indeed beautiful. Any man would grovel at her feet. Apparently, Jacob thought that man wasn't him.
"Jacob." Katrina said. She was smiling but Jacob saw the jealous streak in her eyes.
He turned to her and hugged her fully and then did what he planned before he regretted it. He kissed Katrina. He felt nothing, but he had a role to play. He turned towards Scarlett and noticed that she had a slight hurtful look on her face, but she masked it quickly.
Scarlett turned her attention back to Tony and ignored him. For the rest of the night, he drank and listened to Katrina talking, not caring that he was rude for not participating. He hated Tony for making Scarlett laugh like that. They moved to the dance floor and were grinding against each other, making Jacob's blood boil.
What was even worse, she grabbed his crotch! They sauntered out of the club together, and Jacob knew he was in trouble when he felt the urge to follow them.
"Sh*t!"
