15. Avoiding Her

1261 Words
Jacob's life had been calm, no, boring, since the night he spent with Scarlett. His mind, on the other hand, was quite the opposite. He couldn't sleep or eat because of Scarlett. Every time he f*cked Katrina, he saw Scarlett's face. What kind of witchcraft had she placed on him? He was dreading the meeting that he and Tony were supposed to have with their lawyers for the official signing of the documents which gave him part ownership. The meeting was supposed to happen at the club. No matter how much he tried to get Tony to change the place for the meeting, or the time, Tony didn't relent. He knew that Jacob was trying his best to avoid Scarlett, so he deliberately set them to meet there. Tony was a petty person, who was punishing Jacob for being the a*shole he was. Jacob didn't have to stay there long though. He was going to sign the papers and then get out of there as fast as possible. If he saw Scarlett, he would just pretend he didn't see her and move on. Jacob wondered why the women in his life behaved the way they did. He realized that he thought of Scarlett being in his life, which he knew wouldn't happen since he pretty much knew that she hated him. Katrina was a pain in the a*s, and even though she eased up with the pressure a bit since he gave her the ring, she was still too much. After Jacob thought that she wouldn't say anything about seeing him looking at Scarlett, she asked who she was. He told her that Scarlett was a stripper at the club that he was now a part owner of. When Katrina heard that, she was satisfied because she thought Jacob would never be interested in a stripper. Oh, how wrong she was. He entered the building, scanning everywhere before he went there. It was a good thing that Scarlett was nowhere to be found. He hightailed into Tony's office. Both his and Tony's lawyers were already present. They were having a conversation that stopped as soon as Jacob entered. Tony looked his friend up and down before turning his face away. Jacob couldn't take it anymore, so he spoke up. "Really man? You're still upset?" Jacob asked unbelievably. "This is not the place or time." Tony said. He thought they didn't have to let the lawyers see that they were having personal problems. Jacob narrowed his eyes at Tony as if to say, "we're not done talking yet", but he got his message loud and clear. A woman had never caused conflict between them before, so why was Tony allowing it? They successfully signed all the documents required to deem Jacob part owner of the club. Jacob and Tony both kept a copy of their business agreement. Tony offered the lawyers drinks to stay for a while so he could show his gratitude, despite the fact they were being paid. They readily agreed. He opted to take them to the VIP section of the club where they would be comfortable and not in too much noise. Jacob didn't want to join them at first, but thinking about wanting to talk to Tony afterward made him change his mind. He scanned the VIP area to see if Scarlett was in its vicinity, but she was nowhere to be seen. Luck was on his side, or so he thought. He joined the men after all. Tony called the server that was placed to work in the VIP section that night and whispered something in her ear. She nodded and left. Jacob felt his phone buzzing. He retrieved it and saw a work-related message. It was nothing important. A drink was placed in front of him. He pocketed his phone, looked up to appear polite to the woman serving him drinks, and got the shock of his life. His heart leaped out of his chest, but he kept himself in check. He carried on his facade of being cold and uncaring, but deep inside him, there was chaos. Scarlett was dressed in a short red dress, with thigh-high boots to match. Her plump lips were shaded by a bright red lipstick that was inviting Jacob to grab her and suck the life out of her through a kiss. Not only that, but she was leaning over to put the drinks down, giving him a view of her luscious t**s. He took his phone out of his pocket to distract him. Anything to keep him from looking at Scarlett. He didn't trust himself not to grab her and put his hands and mouth all over her body. The minute Scarlett stepped away from him, he couldn't resist himself, so he looked up and all he saw was a*s for days. It should be illegal for Scarlett to even leave the house. She could cause heart attacks and accidents with that body. Jacob felt his c*ck slowly growing. "F*ck!" He muttered so low no one would hear. He watched as Scarlett served the other men and smiled at them while she did it. All he saw on her face when she served him was a straight face. She didn't even greet him, which was a requirement of the servers. So, she was pissed. It was an obvious observation. Tony was throwing gasoline on the already blazing fire by introducing Scarlett to the attorneys. They both gave her a once over, nodding their heads to agree that Scarlett was a beauty that no one could compare to. How could he blame them? She was indeed a beauty. Jacob watched her every move. After making sure that everyone, except him, was satisfied, she turned to leave. "Scarlett, why don't you stay and join us for a drink." Tony offered which made Jacob squirm in his seat. He ought to make Jacob miserable. "Sure. Anything for you, Boss." She said, sitting beside Tony. She was sitting at the edge of the plush couch, so Jacob was in full view of her. Jacob should have gotten out of there as soon as she said yes and sat down, but he saw Tony whispering in her ear. She giggled and slapped his chest. The act looked intimate. 'What the f*ck?' Jacob thought. There was no way he was leaving now. Not even if he was tortured having to watch Scarlett interacting with everyone but him. He had gone there hoping to avoid her, but he didn't have to do that as she had already set herself to do the said task with him. He didn't know what was worse, the fact that she was evading having a conversation with him or the fact that he felt unsettled that she was. "Wasn't that what you wanted?" He thought. Jacob's jaws clenched when Scarlett crossed one of her legs over the other, giving him a peek at her smooth thighs. He had the urge to spread them apart and do as he pleased. He felt his c*ck twitch in his pants. Jacob adjusted himself and stood. He couldn't stay there without wanting to do something that he was going to regret, so he left with not so much as a goodbye to anyone present. "The conversation with Tony could wait. He stood at the entrance as the valet fetched his car. Jacob tipped him generously and entered the vehicle. He leaned back in the seat for a moment to think. "What the f*ck am I going to do?" He asked himself before driving away.
