            Noah’s voice sounded so far off in the distance I couldn’t focus on anything other than the raging fire that seemed to be swallowing me whole. Deliberately filling my body with a brilliant radiating pain, every ounce of my energy was focused on the way it pulled me under. I tried making it to the water, but my arms were not strong enough to pull me forward, I lay in the spot curled against the coolness of the rock beneath me.              “Tori shift!” His voice sounded full of panic. I tried looking around for him, but my vision had gotten worse. I couldn’t find him. Squeezing my eyes shut I felt a brush of a fur against my face followed by the scarring touch of an ice from a noise nudging me. The feeling chased away the fire in me. Reaching up feeling the fur under my hands
